Well this is great stuff and I finally got to see the Greg Baldwin interview that I was strangely excited for. If that doesn't make me an Ultrafan then I'm sorry. He's an interesting fellow, just a theater geek who happened to like the work of an obscure Japanese actor in 1976. He's right about it being fortunate that the show happened to find someone who's been doing a Mako impression for that many years. He also commented on something that I have thought about also which is that his impression sounds like 30 year younger Mako than it does on seasons 1 and 2 when the actor was in his early 70's. Makes a whole bunch of sense, so obviously Greg would never be able to properly emulate the 72 year old Mako as we last heard him in Season 2 and TMNT simply because....he's not that age. To think of another example...48 year old (at the time)Joe Alaskey inherited the role as Grandpa Lou Pickles on Rugrats, he didn't sound exactly like 67 year old David Doyle but it was very close. I can't find any audio of Mako as the reciter from Pacific Overtures but here's a clip from Conan The Barbarian when he did the intro for the film in his role as "The Wizard" from 1982 which was filmed 5 years after and you'll get a good example of what Greg was talking about. www.geocities.com/Hollywood/set/7738/Conanintro.wav***Edit*** Wow I spoke too soon, I managed to find video of the television broadcast of Pacific Overtures featuring the original cast. God bless the Youtubes. Make sure to check out this gem, Mako is right at the beginning. youtube.com/watch?v=cx6hhy2Dwzw

What? Line-cutting, Splendi? *feels betrayed* *shuns* Oooooh, Greg Baldwin interview! Pretty tight-lipped about the S3, but interesting nonetheless to get a bit of an insight. I wonder if him singling out Dee Bradley Baker means Iroh is around Appa or other ava-animals next season, or if it's just cuz he's such a versatile voice actor.

They started a new line and merged it with the current one!! So hah.

That was amazing, listening to Mako's voice again almost brought a tear to my eye. [starts singing - "someone in a tree ..."]

Everyone also be sure to check out a very young Gedde Watanabe AKA Long Duk Dong (The Dongster) From Sixteen Candles in that clip at the 01:41 mark. This video is apparently very rare and was videotaped for Japanese public television, where it was shown with subtitles. It is not commercially available in America. I hope Greg is still checking out this board and this thread as he may or may not have ever seen this.

Mako!! <3 <3 ;~; I miss him. Question: What was his last episode? Did he get through all of season two?

^ Yeah. As Greg Baldwin mentioned in the interview, he contributed a few gruts in the Season Finale, but the majority of the Season was performed by Mako.

Thanks to Coppa, for sharing his skills! The editing was outstanding and...frankly...he's pretty darn good in front of the camera!
And thanks to all you fans. Enjoy Season 3!
One thing, though...
Boy, do I look fat!

Boy, do I look fat! Thanks! Again, the pleasure was very much mine too. Actually... I just was thinking how I look pretty darn scrawny on camera. LoL Also- My apologies to everyone about a few audio fuzzes when people are talking. That whole convention center (even the outside area around it) are so full of radio & wireless signal waves, my wireless mic system kept picking up distortion no matter where I went. It's a wonder it didn't fry. Now that I know, next time I'll go fully cabled instead and skip the wireless setup no matter how convenient it is. That was so cool. If only I didnt live in the other side of the states I so would have gone. I know this is a stupid question but is all the Comic Cons in San Diego? There's actually many Comic Conventions that take place all over the country. A very big and rather elaborite one that I know of on the East coast takes place in Pennslyvania near Pittsburgh. But they all pail in comparison to the size, attendance, and number of star-studded panels that the one in San Diego boats. So while there's a lot great gatherings all over, you can't beat what the SDCC has to offer.
