Oh yeah, that happens a lot. It's the result of employing 2 animation studios.

Oh I thought that is what happens when you get a few different animators.
But it happens a lot in animation.

Katara doesn't look good in the Lake Laogai style. Aang looks okay, though.

Please keep in mind this thread is supposed to be for possible mistakes by those making the drawings for the animation, not for issues within the plot.

Why is Katara's necklace plagued by necklace mishaps?

I watched the first episode ever today, and I think I found a necklace goof in there. The pendent thing was positioned too high.

Up till now we've thought of the magically reappearing torch in The Avatar State as an animation mishap. It is. It's an ANIMATION mishap. But it wasn't intended to be. I was watching the Book 2, Volume 1 DVD today, as well as the original uncut animatic of The Avatar State that came along with it. It shows the spiritual guy putting back the torch. This takes place in like .001 seconds, so it took me a few tries to actually get a screen cap of him doing it ;D. Anyways, as you see in the bottom, it wasn't incorporated into the finishing animation. So the drawer(s) (director Giancarlo Volpe) did actually intend that act to be there. This is just proof. So we can blame Korean animation after all
