-screams- -glass shatters-OMG!! Are you serious?! I though you were going to say Zuko & Katara I don't believe it! CT's a Taanger!!!!!! This is one of my happiest moments on DH YES! I am giving you tons of karma now! Just cause you're a Taanger -cough- anyway, Careful you don't knock something over, there! I'm not really a shipper. I just love to watch Aang and Toph interact. A really strong friendship between the two would be just as good in my eyes. Still, I'm glad you were able to derive such joy from my confession. Mhm. They did a really great job with Toph in almost every Book 2 episode in which she appeared. And it was nice that there was a one episode break between Aang's vision and their meeting, even if that episode was "Avatar Day". >_> Excellent. Can't wait for TBR.

Gotta say I didn't exactly enjoy the rushed maikup. And the following maikout seemed so... I don't know. Cold. Impersonal. I just didn't like it, the look, the entire moment, everything. Luckily they didn't go back to pointless face-sucking in 309.

Hi
I had a question about the Mai interrogation picture. Did Brian say that it was Zuko in the chair at Comic Con? I honestly forgot.
The reason why I was wondering is because I really can't picture that as Zuko in the chair. It would make sense if it is Zuko, but by the way the image looks I still have my doubts.
Any comments?

I read somewhere that they said it was a random prisoner but I don't know how true that is. It looks a hecka lot like Zuko and Mai is there too, so... His head is hanging down, but his hair is the same. Though in the storyboard, the guy has boots. I think Zuko is supposed to be wearing something different.

Could be. Although I'm pretty certain we're going to see that scene in TBR or at least i hope so.
Thanks.

Anyone notice the Moog-like music when they reach the beach before playing Kuai? I found it interesting mixing strings with synthesizers........ The music got my attention right away. It's very different than the usual Avatar music. It's sort of goofy and upbeat. That music went well with the humorous parts of the episode.

The beach is probaly the most controversal episode people seem to either love it or hate it. I have to admit I rather enjoy it Azula's in practically every scene doesnt happen very often

I neither love it or hate it...I'm totally indifferent to it. Much like The Great Divide it doesn't really accomplish anything.

I did not like this episode at all. The whole thing was just cheesy, OOC, and done way over-dramatically, especially the campfire scene.
The only parts I did like were the parts with the gaang.

I liked the bit when Zuko was alone in the old beach house...
I guess it did accomplish something then...it gave the gAang somewhere to go after they had to beat a hasty retreat from the Western Air Temple.

Zuko going through the old family vacation house is a very touching scene. He's got a few good memories but all the more recent horrible memories must drown the good ones out most of the time.

The first time I watched this episode(on my brand new Book 3 boxset), I sat there with my mouth open in surprise. It seemed so strange and surreal compared to other Avatar episodes. Seeing Azula, Zuko and Mai at the beach was bizarre. Tai Lee fit in perfectly.
But I also laughed like crazy. Some of the moments are genuinely hilarious. All the moments with Li and Lo are funny(and Zuko's and Mai's reactions), Zuko's attempts to do the normal boyfriend things with Mai, the volleyball match, Azula trying to fit in etc.
