Personally, I like this episode more than "The Awakening". For a filler, it was rather impressive. The dancing totally made the episode, especially the free-styling kid. LOVED him. XDDD Some moments made me scratch me head tho. I was watching Aang during this episode thinking, "Hey... Weren't you emo an episode ago? Why are you happy now?" And the Maiko moment was so... odd. Funny, but odd. With guaranteed future fillers in Season Three, I hope they can pull it off as nicely as "The Headband".

That FN bully- Hide I believe- was really annoying; not just because he was mean to Aang but because of how... typical he was. He's Aang's enemy at school, he forces the sweet girl that likes Aang to be his girlfriend, he beats up other kids, and he's the headmaster's star pupil- not too mention he rats the dance party out. I almost- almost thought Hide would break free of the typical school bully/ teacher's pet role when he cried after Aang tripped him and be shown to be a vulnerable boy beneath a hardened exterior.... but then he sneered at Aang when he got into trouble. Sheesh. I know Hide was such a minor role in the episode but it was so... because Hide only becomes Aang's enemy and Aang only becomes popular because On Ji randomly is attracted to Aang which automatically and undeserving-ly makes Aang the under dog at school instead of earning the position due to his peaceful and fun-filled ways. Hide was annoying because he was such a typical school bully/ teacher's pet; like Draco Malfoy only worse because Aang and Hide only form a slight rivalry of sorts only because On Ji likes Aang not because of opposing views or personalities like Harry and Draco. I'm complaining too much, but such stereotypes are annoying and I have never seen a real person that was like this.

This was one of my favorite season 3 episodes too. It just had a nice laid back feeling with some great moments and it had Wang Fire.

The Headband is one of my favorites from Season 3. Aang is just so gosh darn adorable. Love the little girl at the school. It's interesting to see a Fire Nation school and how it's run. The dancing is awesome. I love the Aang/Katara dance.
I enjoy watching Zuko struggle. I knew he would see the light eventually. He just needed a catalyst.
Hiring a hitman to kill Aang so he could cover his butt is a low moment for Zuko.
Zuko and Mai crack me up. They enjoy each other. What's wrong with that? The silly lines were just to reinforce Mai's "interesting" take on the world. I know there was a 3 year gap in their relationship, but it's not like they're complete stangers. They've had a few weeks to reconnect. Lokk how quickly Katara and Aang bonded and grew very close.
