For me Kataang might just make it, but as for Maiko, it's too much for me!

Things that made this episode not suck: - Freestyle FN kid - Combustion man at the end - The conductor at the FN school - I have no idea why, he was just amazing - Aang vs. Onji's boyfriend (was anyone else reminded of the fight scene in "The Avatar Returns" when Aang pulls off the same back-to-back move on Zuko?)
Things that made me want to turn off the TV: - Everything else

Oh wow, cute little episode. Funny as heck too. I didn't feel like reading 20 pages so I'm just writing random thoughts.
Ozai noodle picture? It was so sincere it was funny. he didn't even say it to be funny either. The Fir Nation kids were so cool too. I liked the music teacher too.
The Fire Nation Hahn dude (can't remeber his name) was annoying. Ahnji is sweet though.
Aang's the master player. I didn't think he had it in him. get it, Aang! The Kataang dance was awesome. The freestylin was a trip!
Katara and Sokka were hilarious. Wang Fire and Sapphire Fire?! Major points for Sokka in this one!
I can't blame Uncle right now, but I still don't totally fault Zuko for making the choice he did in Ba Sing Se. But I tihink if anything, Zuko should have realized Ioh wasn't going to offer any help now if Zuko didn't really want it earlier.
I'm not too bug into ships, but that whol Maiko scene was... painful. It wasn't so much the corny yet funny lines as it was Zuko's laugh. It took some away some of his sexy and put in him dorkdom. (sorry!) Whatever make him happy I guess. I thought Mai was going to cut Azula's throat for a second after that b***h look she gave her. Maybe they're plotting though. I don't think so.

but what people aren't understanding is that Zuko is a dork. He's not this suave passionate person......he's a dork. What he said is the closest he's going to come to being romantic. but, Aang on the other hand

All in all I didn't think this was a bad episode. It had some of the funniest lines I've heard in a while ("Even the meat eats meat!" It just sounded wrong, but funny), but I can't help but feel that they're not balancing the screen time very well. Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Zuko got plenty of time on-screen, but once again Toph had very little to say. When they were racing to grab the garment from the line that they fancied, I expected a sarcastic remark from Toph, seeing as how she has no idea what kind of clothes she's getting, but, alas, it was a missed opportunity. I always find it strange that they never once asked her about her meeting with her mother, or why Sokka and Aang found her racing back to Ba Sing Se, when it seemed that she was never going to leave the city in the first place. Also, no Ty Lee again. I don't know if this was explained in the comic (not all of us have read it, you know) but did anyone find that look Mai gave Azula odd? I'm talking about the one after Azula dismissed Mai, saying that Ty Lee needed help untangling her braids. Explain, please!

^People have speculated it was either a glare of soon to be defiance or glare of "yup, we're working together on some secret plan". Like a few others have said before me, it did sound as if the line that Azula gave was a kind of code phrase. But since we know that Mai has like Zuko for a while, I think it was a look of annoyance toward Azula for interupting her long awaited lovey dovey time with her man. But she still left b/c her alligance is to the princess.
While the two obviously have an attraction for each other, I do think Maiko is part of Azula's overall plan, which I don't know yet. In some way, those two being together gives her an advantage in the future episodes.

If Azula wanted Mai to be a partner in her plan, she would have told her about it before Operation Matchmaker in Ba Sing Se. But she and Ty Lee tricked them both that night. Zuko may be the target, but Mai's being used by Azula, too. I'm not too bug into ships, but that whol Maiko scene was... painful. It wasn't so much the corny yet funny lines as it was Zuko's laugh. It took some away some of his sexy and put in him dorkdom. At least he didn't say, "Well, if it was a choice between kissing you and dying..." What do you want: a phony, contrived, Prince Charming who recites a poetic declaration of love that sounds like it was written and re-written by a professional script writer? Or a realistic boy who's somewhat awkward around girls delivering a realistic, spur-of-the-moment sounding line? I'll take the latter.

So anything Zuko dose like cooks breakfast is because of Azula's master plan. I really do believe that this one snowballs effect of started by Azula and basicly saying that Zuko did destory the avatar and just watch Zuko judgment, wants & truth effect him which and which I do believe could be his downfall this early in the season all without Azula doing much work. Point is: Zuko own weight becomes his own downfall...Personal Presure points
