There always the possibility that a cartoon and sorry if that offends can go up to greater season the typical season three or the unaverage of season five. Note that cable is different and that cartoon don't normally follow the number of episode in one season or another (like season one has 23 and next season only have 15)
Point is that Avatar dose have ability to continue but so do other animated programming and can it go on with out being "stile" or Well be the same achievement as before and off course doesn’t jump the shark. As I said animation is more ways in one is different from the rest of the programing in TV.

I wish to god that they could continue the current story arc, there is so much more they can do with it. However, if to do that they needed to think up new things out of nowhere, to make up things as they go along, then no. That would unfortunately hurt the quality and frankly cheapen the storyline knowing that they have no idea where they are going.
So because of that, I would love a new story arc.

It's easy to say something like, "I'd like them to go beyond three seasons as long as it doesn't suck." The hard part is deciding, before the fact, whether or not you want to see a fourth season.
I'm actually going to go ahead and say no. I love this show, but I think it can be wrapped up in twenty more episodes.
So long as they get all of this in, that is: Aang beats Ozai (Katara and Sokka help), Iroh becomes Fire Lord, Zuko gets his head out of you-know-where, Ursa is reunited with her son, Toph returns to her parents tearfully but willingly, Azula is put into a cell somewhere, Ba Sing Se is decorrupted, the men of the Southern Water Tribe return home and begin to rebuild, Bumi begins reconstruction in Omashu, loose ends such as Iroh's trip to the Spirit World are tied up, and finally, Aang and Katara get down to business and make babies (Loads of them. All airbenders.) so that the Avatar cycle can pass through the Air Nomads once more, happily ever after. Also, there needs to be Jeong Jeong. Lots and lots of Jeong Jeong.
On a more serious note, if they do a great job with the third season, I don't see a need for the fourth. From the beginning, this show has been about Aang defeating the Fire Lord. When that happens, the show could end, and I would be happy. However, if they do continue to churn out more seasons, I'll probably still watch them. Just because I feel that we would be better off with only three seasons doesn't mean that if we do get a Season 4, I won't watch it. I imagine most people who voted "no" (all one of them) feel the same way.

I'm undecided as of yet. Part of me wants it to continue but another parts has a feeling that if they do it could ruin it

There isn't going to be a book of air. The story of Aang will end with Book Three: Fire. Each season involves Aang mastering that element and he has already mastered air.

i think that it would be awesome to have 3 more seasons with a different arc. but id be worried that the new arc would not be as good and also i think that they will probably end with book 3:fire.

I think they should just end it as it was supposed to be, with 3 seasons of Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph. If they continued it with new characters, I'm not sure how good it turn out.

^I agree. I think I would miss the current Gaang to much to appreciate the new arc.

They can start a new story arc, but I wish they'd keep the Gaang together. Maybe pick up a few years later in their lives, and show how much they've grown, and how they'd handle a new crisis.

I'm all up for a new avatar seried. Keeping the same characters could be a strech though. Anyone who doesn't want more avatar after season 3 is simply not a real avatar fan.

I can't vote. I want to say I'd love it and they should do it, but I can't. I'm attached to the characters now, I don't want new ones, but............I could like another on just as much. I just don't know. Of course, I think of shows that they have don more of(CSI, Law and Order and so on) and the original is always the best. They could completely ruin it. Or like stated above, it could maybe be better. My head hurts.......
