At first, I wondered why in the world they kept showing us Iroh randomly....but then I realized it was because he is now a BEAST!!!!! He shall kick Fire Nation butt. Which he could before, but now, oh man....they're in for it.
oMG....Aang's armored outfit.....LOL.

Can anyone direct me to it other than on Turbo Nick? We Tivo's it and the last minute or so, including the preview for next week of course was cut off. Turbo Nick is having problems (yay it's not just me this time!), so I was hoping it would be on youtube, but I can't find it.
Anyone? Anyone? Help?

This episode was great...I about fell out of my chair at the "SHOPPING!!" thing and Aang's armor...that is SUCH an anime cliche, right down to the guitar riffs. It even LOOKS familiar. I could swear I've seen something like the Wind Sword before, but oh well...can't remember. Anyway, I lol'd heartily.
Ooh, and I liked that Piandao's door had a white lotus on it too....ooooooooooooooo...grandmaster like Iroh maybe? I also love that Sokka's sword is unique. Yeah, it was made kind of fast if you consider katana-building times, but you know, he actually wasn't the one to hammer out the sword, which made me happy because he would have definitely ruined it. He basically just did the hard fire-building and such. I could accept that maybe it was done quickly with a master doing the shaping and Sokka working 24-7 to get things melted, carried, and all the other heavy peon tasks. I really like how his training went in general. It's about time Sokka had someone to teach him things and have someone to respect so highly. I liked that he came clean...it shows how deeply he regards his master.
I really like Tokka actually...and they've been showing her hanging on Sokka a *lot* recently. I was really happy he gave her a little present even though I'm sure it's probably not reciprocated...poor little Toph! I almost don't want Suki to come back anytime soon because I hate to think of Toph getting sad. I'm sure she knows there's something going on with her mad heart-rate meter and such.

I got it. I'm so glad. It was driving me a little nuts. I did like that Sokka thought to give Toph a present, although I'm not a fan of Tokka/Soph. Anything that might soften her up makes me happy. I love her, but I like it when they show that she has a sweet side along with the caustic one. Just like it seems to be the go to for Sokka to be the stooge in the comedy, the other go to seems to be Toph saying something biting. I like the other side as well, and this episode showed it for both characters.

Although I did like the episode, I thought that it was a little too stupid and unlike Sokka to actually give away his identity. I mean, he's supposed to be the one all about "Taking out the Fire Lord" but why would he give away their position like that?! I know it didn't matter because Sokka's master did already know who he was, but Sokka didn't know that, so why put things at risk?

Water Tribe, so he didn't give Aang away.

Umm...ok, I'm pretty sure the "millions of Li's" joke was refering more to the various Li's used in the show (i.e. the kid Lee from Zuko Alone; Zuko's alias, etc.). Interesting your mind went straight to racism though. Why? It's a common stereotypical joke used to garner cheap laughs but it's not extremely offensive so many "soft" comedians use it. "You're so fat, you have more chins than in a chinese phone book." "A black guy named Washington? Why am I not surprised?" "Let me guess, esse, you're name is Hernandez? Or is that Ramirez?" There's only two Lee's in the entire series; Ty Lee and kid Lee so the first thing that popped in my mind was "Oh they're making fun of the fact that a common Asian name is Lee haha that's kind of funny." Ok, look at those "comedians", and then look at Avatar. The BIG difference between them is why I think you're taking this a tad to seriously. I'm Asian, and despite the fact that there are a lot of Li's (oh hey, Li and Lo, that's another one!), I'm fairly certain that this AVATAR joke is refering to the show, nothing more.

I poked myself in the eye with my eyeliner when Iroh took his prison garb off Those darn FN royalty ;D But I have to say I was more attracted to Iroh when he was round. I can't imagine a Iroh plushie with a six-pack! well the rest of the gang didn't get the full value training and yet the became good at what they do...though note....it probley could have all day and all night trainning...we just skip to the good parts ;D time montages ever get the same treatment as in the movies. The hours approaching, just give it your best You've got to reach your prime. That’s when you need to put yourself to the test, And show us a passage of time, We're gonna need a montage (montage) Oh it takes a montage (montage)
Show a lot of things happing at once, Remind everyone of what’s going on (what’s going on?) And with every shot you show a little improvement To show it all would take to long That’s called a montage (montage) Oh we want montage (montage)
And anything that we want to go from just a beginner to a pro, You need a montage (montage) Even Rocky had a montage (montage)
(Montage…montage)
Anything that we want to go from just a beginner to a pro, You need a montage (montage) Oh it takes a montage (montage)-Team America World Police

I am so happy that some random FN fight happened at the end. In "The Headband" and "The Painted Lady" obviously something was going to go wrong so a conflict of some sort would happen. Though the same is true for "Sokka's Master" at least it wasn't just for the sake of conflict; the fight was about Sokka fighting his master because Sokka didn't want to continue lying to such a nice man who trained him.
I am so relieved that some random FN baddie didn't pop up and Sokka would have to use his sword fighting skills to defeat him since the baddie is somehow able to ward off Aang, Katara, and Toph's bending. That would be something that would happen in the monkey animation episodes.
