Me too, i think Appa's Lost Days filled the big hole in the plot about where Appa was all this time..I found it quite ok..

I loved Appa's Lost Days. It was definitely necessary to the second season. Plus how can you not like Appa?! He's so full of emotional turmoil in that episode it's amazing how the writers can convey so much with so little dialog.

Wow, this topic should be renamed "Let's Flame the Living Hell out of Avatar". Seriously. It's just asking for least favorite episodes, not a full-blown summary of why they suck so bad I'm so sad to hear people hate Avatar Day. I found it beyond hysterical. Aang: So there you have it! I'm not guilty!Sokka:...he's dead... Let me see... Imprisoned was sort of hard to watch, due to the fact poor Aang scarcely got ANY screentime (I'm one of the few who actually LIKED Haru...). Next would probably be The Desert and The Library. I dunno. They were bad, per se, it's just The Library kind of dragged its feet and Aang was OOC in The Desert.

I tend to not really like most episodes that don't have Zuko and/or Iroh. Because they're just that cool. But I'm gonna go with The Great Divide, or Imprisoned, even though they did have some good parts. I thought Avatar Day was hilarious. Mostly 'cause that mayor guy reminded me of my fourth grade teacher.

I thought Avatar Day was funny too. Although there were a lot of animation errors that really bugged me, I enjoyed it.
Probably the worst one would be the Great Divide.

Eh, probably The Cave of Two Lovers. Just cuz I'm a Hatara shipper XD. Sorry, but I didn't like The Awakening that much either. It just showed how self-cantered Aang is, and most of us already knew that.

It just showed how self-cantered Aang is, and most of us already knew that. Yeah, because anyone who is willing to leave the ones he loves and sacrifice himself in order to save the world must be completely self-centered, right? Aang is a human. He can be just as selfish as any other character on this show. @castoro Chiaro: OOC? I don't think he was out of character at all. I just think we saw a completely different side to him, one that only shows up when he is beyond ticked/frustrated/scared/etc. No matter how much it tore me up, I loved seeing Aang like this. It made him more human to me. One who gets upset and angry when things go wrong. If he was happy-go-lucky all the time, it would get old. His character would get old.

Avatar Day was Hilarious! Pointless like Spongebob but Hilarious!
Sokka: *Drooling with spider web with spider in mouth*
Momo: *Sticks paw in Sokka's mouth and grabs bugs* Sokka: *Spitting* What are hyou doing in my mouth! Momo: *Eating Bug* Sokka: Momo... You need to be a little more sensitive to my boundries!
---------------------------------
Sokka: Wait! my Boomerang! Katara: There's no time! Sokka: Oh I see so there's time to get your scrolls and your staff but no time to get my boomerang?!? Katara: That's correct! Sokka: Oh...
---------------------------------
Sokka: I feel like I lost part of my identidy... *Poits to Aang* Imagine if you lost your Arrow? Or Katara lost her... *pauses* Her Hair Loopies*
(Thought of that while watching "The Headband" Aangs arrow all covered up... And Kataras hair down!)
--------------------------------------
Mayor: You Avatar do somthing! Aang: Gee I'd love to help... But I'm sposed to be bolied in Oil...
----------------------------------
Anhyway my fave quote would have to be...
Gaang: *Grabs slimy unboiled Aang* Katara: Happy Avatar Day everyone... *Slurps one down* Aang: *Eats it * Sokka: *Pauses* This is by far the worst town we have ever been to... *Throws on in his mouth*
Sorry for my blabbing xD

Heh. Wow. got some pretty good responses so far and the current fan least-favorite is Great Divide. That being said Castoro Chiaro is right. I've seen a few episodes flamed and that wasn't the intent when I started this thread. Not that I want to discourage anyone from posting, quite the contrary in fact I'm happy this thread is still getting posts. However If your going to write a longer post attempt to make it sound less like a flame or a rant. I guess what I'm saying is don't write a whole article or anything but do put some thought into what you type.
And in keeping with the original purpose of the thread for me it's still the great divide. The main reason being that it felt like a filler episode rather then an actual vital part of the plot.

He can be just as selfish as any other character on this show. I'm just saying, he abandoned them! And for what? His honor? Besides, you say him sacrificing himself was soooo honorable. Oh yes, he abandoned his friends, and then died, causing the whole world to fall into the hands of the Fire Nation. But at least he had honor. Seriously? P.S. I liked Avatar Day, too! Ugly old man: We used to be a great society before you killed our leader. Now look at us!

There are bits and pieces of episodes that I hated, but not really any episode as a whole that I disliked. Like, The Great Divide and Avatar Day are probably my least favorite in each season, but the other episodes are all so awesome that it's not really saying much.
I also wanted to say something about "fillers". I'm not really sure, but when I looked it up in a dictionary it said "something, often relatively unimportant, added to fill space, for example, in a newspaper or between items in a broadcast or performance". I just don't think that any Avatar episodes are like that (except for possibly Tales of Ba Sing Se, but even that episode showed character development...) Sorry, that was kind of off topic, but that's how I feel about it.

Haha woooo well I actually kinda liked Avatar Day though there were some parts that made me go "Eh... ookay?" I think the episode I liked the least (which hasn't been mentioned yet!) is Jet but then again... that might be just because I don't like Jet, lol.

I like nearly all the avatar episodes, there is not one which i absolutely hate but if for say I could skip any episode as in not watch it again it would probably be 'The Great Divide.' That’s just my personal opinion because I didn't really like it and I thought it was a little boring

I pretty much agree with all of the above posts that the Great Divide was the worst episode. It wasn't horrible in my opinion, but it didn't serve to further the plot. I pretty much enjoy watching avatar regardless of what episode in on .
