Remember when Aang, Katara, and Sokka went to the Southern Air Temple? How Aang was starring blanklessly at Avatar Roku's statue? Well I think Roku was about to contact Aang when Katara shook him. You might remember that the statue had a little twinkle in it's eye. Why else would Aang stare at it oblivliously?

I'm not sure. That statue was probably made after Roku's death,so it had no real personal connection to Avatar Roku himself.

I don't know. I've never really thought about that. Even if Sokka hadn't shook him and Aang did contact Roku, it wouldn't have made too much of a difference anyway. Aang spoke with him a few weeks later.

^^ Yeah I think it might have been Katara who shook him...!? All I can remeber is :: Katara- Aang?! Snap out of it! Oh yea.. Kaneda- No offence but I noticed in a few topics you've just pointed out what section it should be in, and not added something to the topic. I think you should just leave that to the mods.

I am pretty sure that it was Katara who shook Aang, but I could be wrong. I remember her screaming at him to snap out of it, and then someone shook him, yes I am pretty sure it was Katara.

It was Katara. Though if Aang were to have talked to Roku then, what would they have talked about?

It was Katara. Though if Aang were to have talked to Roku then, what would they have talked about? How important his duty was and to get a head start, Aang learned about his many responsibilities in the 7th (I think?) Episode when he could have learned more in the 3rd, I am not saying it was a major loss but it would have been helpful for him and the gang later on.

Well I'm not sure meeting Roku earlier would have changed the plot at all...so is it a big deal?

^ That's what I was thinking down the lines too. I guess it was more important for him to learn his people were gone first. But yeah, like you said, it wasn't a major loss.

It was Katara, definately. I think Roku just "told" Aang his name, actually, that's all.
