"The Cave of Two Lovers" was the saddest episode ever because it aired.

i think The Desert was the saddest episode. It was so sad to see Aang in all that pain and sadness inside of him. I thought the part when he was crying in Katara's arms was really sad too. =(

The saddest episode has to be "The Southern Air Temple". Watching Aang realise that not only is he the last of his kind, but he is one of the reseaons that the air nomads are all dead was sad; and no matter how close he gets to Katara and Sokka, he will never be also to relate to someone as he would with an air nomad. He will be forever alone.

The saddest of the whole series is the thing with Yue...

I thought Siege of the North was extremely sad with Sokka and Yue. *sob* But the sadness doubles when combined with The Swamp. When Sokka thought Yue said 'You didn't protect me' I either wanted to hug him really tightly or slap him and shout 'It wasn't your fault goddammit!'
But mostly I wanted to hug him.

I thought Zuko Alone was extremely sad. The end of Bitter Work when Zuko yells at fate and breaksdown was also heartwrenching.

I have to say the part when Yue died and the end of "The Desert." Both Katara and Aang were crying. Just goes to show how much Katara cares for him and how much pain Aang is dealing with knowing that there is only a few people left of his time.

The ending of The Chase, the first time I saw that episode I acutally (which is rather stupid) was in tears, I felt so bad for Zuko, I know that he was thinking that it was his fault that it had happened to him, and that he wasn't strong enough to prevent it. At lest that's what I saw when he let out his feeling out. And I was so worried about Iroh. I wasn't sure if he would live or die. So tearjerking, and heartbreaking. Espcally for me. Since I love Iroh so much. And I hightly doubt any of you relize how pleased I was when Bitter Work rolled around. Agh. Yes. The Chase, by far. Very true, your exalted =)

Poor Zuko.

It was more so certain moments then full episodes that touched me. As a whole, however, I have to go with "Zuko Alone." "The Storm" makes you think that you've learned everything you need to know about Zuko's past, and then this episode piles on even more. Then cut to the present and he's still not getting a break. He lost everything he had in the Fire Nation, and since he's a firebender, he can't find acceptance anywhere else (no matter what he does to try to make it right). How can someone lose so much?

I think it was probably Zuko Alone for me. His past is so tragic! Ot maybe the one where Zuko cries (I can't remember the name *Hangs head in shame).
