I'm surprised no one's mentioned the season finale. When Yue died, that nearly made me cry. amen, I loved Yue's character and when she died I was touched

I dunno what the saddest episode would be.
Probably something around Zuko and Iroh...cuz they have the strongest bond of the show, and right now, it's being tested...
Even though the humor covered it up, the scene when Zuko left to be on his own was kinda sad...
When I was rewatching it, the only thing that coulg go through my mind was that Iroh was probably thinking that would be the last time he ever saw his nephew...his adopted son, really...

The Zuko episode was sad. To see why Zuko is the way he is was touching. The saddest tho would have to be "The Desert". Aang losing Appa like that and seeing him cry while coming out of the Avatar state was the most emotional thing they have done to date, IMO.

there were a lot of sad moments throughout the series, but i would say that the SotN was the saddest and possibly the best episode.

Either "The Storm", "Zuko Alone", or the end of "Bitter Work".

I thought Yue's death was the saddest. That and the Swamp when Katara thought she saw her mom, but it wasn't real.

I think Zuko Alone would be the first one because in the last flashback, his mom said something very inspiriing and just... disappeared. The next one would be The Library because Toph couldn't save Appa and did all she could to save the others (not to mention Aang crying in the end).

Ohh....I dunno. I guess I'd have to say, the Desert. The Storm comes next. No eppisode has made me cry, though.

The end of Bitter work, when Zuko yells at fate for making everything hard. It made pity well up inside me and it also made me see a deeper side of Zuko. I agree. I almost cried watching it and while reading everyone's metaphorical interpretations of it in... crap, I was just there and now I can't find the topic or even what thread it was in. Also, Yue's death. It was the first time in the series that Sokka had ever had a serious plotline, and it ended so tragically. Edit: The metaphor discussions are in the Symbolism On Top Of The Mountain thread. distanthorizons.proboards31.com/index.cgi?board=theos2&action=display&thread=1149365760&page=1

The one where Iroh gets hit by Azula's Lightning, cause Iroh got hit by Azula, cold heartless witch(and i mean witch, not the other b thing), she belongs in the organization with Axel. Aang should have knocked Zuko out and let Katara heal him.
