I think that the last scene of Zuko, when we get this close up to his face, is quite important. He finally got, what he wanted: The FN royality (his family?) acknowledges him again, but he doesn't seem to be happy with this situation. He had the urge to proof himself in his fathers eyes and persueted to regain his honor (aknowledgment from his father), but when he got it, he doesn't seem to like the situation at all and trading his uncle for it seem to overshadow it completely. What I believe is, that Zuko didn't really decide yet. His attack on Aang seemed to be more a reaction, because after 3 years of seeing the Avatar as his prey, it was harder to side with him then his psycho sister. Now he seems to be pondering, what he should do, stay with Azula (having a chance to get home, although an unrealistic one) or start living by his own code of honor (and not by his fathers) and eventually turn against the people, who brought so much mystery in his live (like Iroh said in Lake LaoGai). I don't think, it will take very long for Zuko to actually make this decision and redeem himself from what he has done in the season 2 finale. Most probably even join the gAang imho, although the season 2 finale of course showed that it is a very difficult process (becoming the Avatars companion), but that's what I expected anyway.

It funny cause people still believe there good in Zuko and now I'm hearing that in order for him to do good he has to die for a cause. Zuko know what he has done...that a givin, the rest is unsure cause we can plan out all the things he can do (ex.: plans & spying) and look what happen at the end of the season of two, but he gone to the dark side with regret. Can he change...most likely but question is for how long.

There is no doubt Azula has something plan. Well for one thing she has been a spoiled little brat who had always hated zuko's guts. Excuse me if that is harshish. nOt to mention it does seems odd that she wants to "protect" him all of the sudden. I do recall that she was sent by her father to take Iroh and Zuko back as prisoners. In fact she said so herself that he wantd Zuko locked away where he could no longer embarass him. The thing she always seems to "protect" him from is whether or not the Avatar was alive and if he knew if there were anyways he could had survived. There is no doubt that she is a good for nothing liar and it amazes me that Zuko doesn't gets it in his thick head of his. I just wish there is some way to tell him "Zuko! Wake up! Can't you see that this is all a trick! Get it through your thick skull arround!" Starts knocking some sense into his head.

I just thought of somehthing else. During his metamorphasis he had a dream and in that dream he is the Fire Lord. He's sitting on his throne in front of his soldiers. Than Azula as the blue dragon slithers down one pillar and tells him to rest his eyes for a moment. Just when he was about to Iroh as the Red dragon tells him "No, Fire Lord Zuko! You must not listen to the blue dragon." Than his army melted and she said "Run away just like mother." Could it be possible that that dream was a message that Azula will try to deceive him because what else could that mean.

Wow this is an old thread... Anyway, after seeing The Beach, I'm more convinced than ever that Azula is planning something. It was revealed that Azula actually has feelings (*gasp!*) but she's also shown that she never lets them get in her way. Even though she cares about her brother (at least a little bit) she's not going to allow that to bring her down.

I actually like the scene when Zuko just seem to let it all out...though not all of it but It should to things....the lades care for Zuko and even her sister as they too were trying to figure out why he so angry...Now that he admit to something...more will be on the way to confront why he angry to himself.

I'm afraid that to me Zuko isn't showing his honor anymore! He's showing his childish side!
