I don't know...I having second thought there might be three season or three movie based titles for avatar. The only way maybe there might be more season to come is either a giant growth of rating and/or fans from movies or from the tv series itself.

;D I bet that there will be a Book 4 cuz like many ppl said, the avatar cycle can't just continue with no airbenders left... but my guess is that somehow (naturally or spirtually or something) the air nomads will come back from death and go back to their normal ways, cuz with no air in the 4 elements in the world, there will be an inbalance... or maybe, the air nomads were never dead!!!

I'd like it, but only if it's written well. Personaly, I think three seasons is enough.

I dunno..I just want three season because I want the Whole box set to come out sooner rather than later...Another season would lack alot of things that Avatar is known for...mainly character development and plot ideas...who will there be left to be excited for...Aang beats Ozai..maybe..and they all live happily ever after(it's overused, i'm sorry)...what problems could da world face next...NOW If the show ended the original series with three season, and then produce a couple of mini-series(say, 8,9 or 10 episodes)...I would love that...Kinda like the show with Goku(thats the only one I remeber, sorry). Have like a saga thing going on...Plots: New element bender: Metal?, or something else, return of Zhao: demon spirit or something I dunno...

Yeah^^, but mini-series still would'nt fill the void of no character development. The plots would never be as exciting as the original storyline, and I would probably grow bored of waiting for the creators to come up with new ideas, start making episodes, advertising the episodes, and then finally showing us one or two at a time.

^ I beg to differ, there will be character development but it won't be of that GAang. Seeing what Iroh was like before his son died, would show how much he has changed when Lu-Ten died. Or seeing how Zhao destroyed the Spirit Library will show how Wong Shi Tong held his stance against humans.

I think there will be a fourth season because of two reasons.
1. Each of the books so far has been named after one of the elements and as we all know there are four elements. 2. Avatar has been one of the highest rated kids shows in recent years, with an average of 1.1 million viewers every Friday night. Nickelodeon wont want to give up those kind of ratings in a hurry.
But I am skeptical because each of the books has revolved around Aang lerning to bend a different element. But like others before me have said, Aang has already mastered airbending. So what would a fourth book be based upon?

Makes me wonder what they could come up with to top the whole "World at war" thing if they do another storyline. They say that one of the hardest times are those after the war. You'll have millions of displaced people who need a new place they could call home. Aang has the disappearance or murder of the Air Nomad culture to contemplate. Peace treaties need to be made; somebody is going to have to take the FN throne once the set is empty of Ozai. The Southern Watertribe also needs some tidying up. It would be nice to see how the one-episode characters managed to live once the war is over. For all we know there could be a new enemy or some type of resistance, although the idea sounds kinda lame. Perhaps we'll get to see the characters and their older selves! Or even the future generation/past generations. Who knows; maybe the writers have some sorta secret they haven't revealed yet that would lead to a fourth season? I'm up for it if the writers are!

So what would a fourth book be based upon? A couple fast facts for you: Avatar episode "Jet" premiere in May of 2005: 3.4 million viewers Avatar season 1 finale in December of 2005: 3.5 million (not totally sure about that though...) Avatar season 2 premiere in March of 2006: 3.7 million Avatar "Secret of the Fire Nation" hour-long TV movie in Sept of 2006: 4.1 million Avatar season 2 finale in December of 2006: 4.4 million viewers The show has made great gains over the last two years since its premiere in terms of viewership. Nick will want to keep those kinds of numbers around for as long as possible. Here is an article that was published before season 2 premiered: www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/ent_radio/story/399973p-338877c.html. With the great increase in viewership this season, I suspect Nick may just want a 4th season, possibly even more.

Pooldude, I hope the creators keep the quality going as they have before, I feel skeptical about a 4th season.

Yeah, I think if they feel they can keep it going and keep it good they should continue. If not, they should just end it at 3. I've heard there are "plenty of options" but no one knows for sure. Probably not even Nick yet.
