I actually think that there will be a season four as long as the creators are willing to make it, which form what I've heard thus far they are. There is obviously an active fan base which desperately awaits each new episode, and as long as they can come up with another interesting and compelling plot, I don't see anything that could stop the series. Even in Nick drops it, someone will pick it up. The fans are clearly willing to watch, and if the fans watch then the advertisers will pay for the commercial slots.
I've kind of wondered if he actually will beat Ozai in this seaosn. I'm guessing that the final two episodes will basically consist of the comet arriving. I'm proposing that they somehow have Aang stop Ozai from using the comet but fail to silence him completely. That could be the premise for the "Air" season some people have talked about. One thing about business, if there is demand from fans and willingness from creators, the show will go on.

From all my expereinces, I have learned Nickalodean (and viacom), is full of idiots. So i made a rule of thum to protect myself from having my hopes from crushed.
*If Nickalodean can disapoint us, they will dissapoint us.
Nickalodeans 65 ep. rule will prevent a fourth season. Besides, does a fourth season really look likly now? They air one frekin episode of avatar a week to my knoledge. They neglect the show, and it seems like there just waiting for it to end.
So I think the chances of a fourth season are slim to none.

I think that 65 ep. rule is Disney. Otherwise, how would you explain SpongeBob?

I think that 65 ep. rule is Disney. Otherwise, how would you explain SpongeBob? The "65 episode rule" is indeed Disney's. And yes, lots of Nick shows have topped 65. Hey Arnold has 100 on the nose, and Rugrats has 150+, I'm sure (it was on the air for what, twelve, thirteen years?). Spongebob's got almost as many as Arnold now.

actaully a show like Rugrats has ten season but were different uneven episode because one season could have 13 and the next season had twenty-six.
It very hard for a cartoon, let alone a kid one to have go more then five seasons...the average is mostly four season like Kim Possable which end last year...funny thought that Spongebob is following the same format as avatar and as well as the other "adult-programs"...you know your heroes and CSI with same number of episode for each season.

Invader Zim was one of the worst pieces of $#!7 to come out of cartoon production in the past twenty years. The show was gratuitously random fart jokes and overused 3rd-grade humor and as a general rule was hated by anyone who saw more than a few episodes of it. The animation was <r@# and the plot was non-existent.
Guys, nick is not a stupid company. As long as they can make considerable money off of Avatar, they're not going to drop it. They're probably hoping for a fourth season as much as us, as Avatar is getting enormous praise for being one of the best cartoon to come out in a long time. The only thing I could see a problem with is the fact that Avatar has attracted a large older audience, which is not Nick's typical target audience, and that might screw with how they market the air time to advertisers.

look, first of it up to the creators if they want to continue. I know some could point out that look at spongebob but Stephen Hillenburg didn't create the whole process itself.
If Mike and Bryan want to continue there program, then I support that and if not then I support that...I think in the end, well still be hate aupon Nickelodeon....for either not trying to convince or milking the creators into making a new season...Also, are the cast and crew welling do continue as well.
Though I'm am wondering what else Mike and or Bryan have up in there sleeves for new shows.

Maybe Season 4 could keep track on what other characters are doing during seasons 1+2+3. like Pokemon Chronicals, or Aang's life before the war. (I have to mention my friends therory, that their going to talk about a "Fifth nation" and stuff.)

They could come up with something. I'm fairly certain that in a universe as unique and wise open as the Avatar universe they'd be able to pull something together and actually make a good show. A sI said before, I'm not convinced thta it will end this season. I'm about 50/50 on the possibility of the finally being somehow stopping Ozai when Sousin's comet appears but not defeating him just yet.

First off to Apocalypsering, dont insult Zim......... i actually used to like that show.............. i cant remember why...? but i did. They air one frekin episode of avatar a week to my knoledge. They neglect the show, and it seems like there just waiting for it to end. So I think the chances of a fourth season are slim to none. I would have to agree. They do neglect the show ALOT. If they did continue an Avatar series they would prolly change it ALOT to try to make it more like a spongebob knind of cartoon. Prolly like they made those shorts schoolhouse shipping, they would try to do something along those lines.

Sorry but that just fan fear mongering that going on...Nick had chance to interfear and they haven't. How do they neglect the show...because it is reren alot...Make it special instead your typical run of the mill because after all Spongebob is rerun as well.
As I stated, no one well be happy if or if there isn't a season four.

I suppose I'll be happy if s4 is good. I won't be happy if it sucks. As of right now, I have no opinion.

Well I'm late to this thread....Hehe.....
I wouldn't count on it. Wikepedia isn't very trustworthy, But I am still hoping for a Season Four, No matter what M&B say.
