Still waiting for an explanation of Appa's apparent full recovery at the end of the episode...
And I'm pretty sure she was thieving and destroying to help the people in the village. She just did it to stall the schedule?! What kind of strange conclusion is that?! Besides, the good guys destroy the bad stuff of bad guys all the time! Didn't we steal that Fire Nation ship used at the beginning of the season? I don't see you complaining about that!
Finally, as I've already explained, there's more than one way to say something, but only a few ways to say it INTERESTINGLY.
The reason she paused at "sick", is the same reason Aang paused after saying something like "you may call it luck...or you can call it lying!" in The Great Divide; it's a way of talking, basically, to "fake out" a friend. There's nothing malicious in it!

Still waiting for an explanation of Appa's apparent full recovery at the end of the episode... Because Katara stopped feeding the berries to him. None of the gaang mentioned Appa's tongue wasn't purple anymore while he was still sick and they believed the purple tongue was part of his illness. Katara just stopped feeding the berries to him. Firstly, calm down. Secondly, even though Katara was stealing and destroying to help the people it contradicts her actions in "Imprisoned" which had a very similar situation. Again, no one reprimanded Katara for stupidly stealing supplies from the factory which would obviously draw suspicion to the villagers. In the end, Katara tells the villagers they must take care of themselves and not wait or let someone else do everything for them! What the heck; after she kicks the bad guys away does she give the lesson unlike "Imprisoned" where Katara always tried to encourage the Earthbenders to fight for themselves. Why didn't she do the same here- or instead of telling the villagers to fight back, why not tell them to move away. It's not the most heroic action but it is the most reasonable. I said she made Appa sick to stall the schedule not stole to stall the schedule. And of course I'm not complaining about some random thievery in a random episode now. Yeah... only Aang actually said he was lying!! Katara didn't. She didn't say: He might be sick... or he might be faking it because I asked him too. What Katara did in this episode completely contradicted her character all for the sake of her being the Painted Lady so the creators could show off Katara again. Again, why not just say she told Appa to fake he was being sick.

None of the gaang mentioned Appa's tongue wasn't purple anymore while he was still sick and they believed the purple tongue was part of his illness. Katara just stopped feeding the berries to him. That might sound nice, if it wasn't for the fact that nobody mentioned anything about Appa's sickness after Katara told Aang the truth, that he was never sick. Also note that Aang wasn't worried about Appa at all after Katara tell him that, and neither Toph nor Momo got sick from eating the berries. In fact, when Sokka caught Katara and Aang coming back from their night of blowing stuff up, he said that they were going to leave NOW. Of course, if Appa was sick from the berries, they couldn't possibly leave then and there. Really, the more I actually rewatch the episode, the more farfetched Appa being actually sick is. NEVARRRRR!! ;D Well, I'll let someone else argue this point if they wish, as it doesn't relate to Appa being sick or not. Oy, I'm tired of going around in circles. They didn't need to say bluntly that he was faking, because it's already obvious from Katara's line and everything else in the show. By the way, I actually just watched that line (got the whole ep on my computer), and she didn't actually pause after saying "sick". Really, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you're just using this ridiculous excuse to rag on Katara some more.

"sick of" automatically means tired of in all sentences, phrases, stories, even pr0n and hood rats don't say "sick of" when they mean "sick from" There doesn't need to be an indication of it being a term. I have no problem with ANYONE stealing from an evil factory which does nothing except make weapons and destroy a fishing town The people in the village looked pretty weak, and by pretty weak I mean they'd all have to team up to beat a common soldier

It still didn't sound like "tired of": He might be tired of the purple berries I've been feeding him but other than that he's fine. Still sounds the same; even if it did it would still mean that Appa was sick because Katara was giving him the berries and he was not going along with it. Again, why not just say, clearly, that Appa was not sick. The people in the village looked pretty weak, and by pretty weak I mean they'd all have to team up to beat a common soldier Uh, I don't understand what you're saying. I'm saying that Katara should have did what she did in "Imprisoned" for the villagers only instead of encouraging the villagers to fight back, Katara should encourage the villagers to move away from the river and settle somewhere else. It's not the most noble move but they are only villagers- weak and poor villagers at that.

I am the real Painted Lady. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. I protect, heal, and feed that small village because I feel that they can't protect themselves alone. So I'm helping them out until I feel they can fend for themselves.

^^ Painted Lady, I watched your episode again yesterday and I must say that it holds up so much better now the series is over. So called filler episodes are so much more satisfying when youre no longer hung up about where the series is going. I loved the way Katara pretended to be you with the whole Team Avatar chipping in. Toph hitting Aang for getting over emotional made be laugh too. I cant imagine why people hate this episode so much. Btw, the two main rivers flowing though my city, Kuala lumpur are badly polluted. Youre desperately needed here. Please come. Or send Katara.
