Aang: Cursed By the Air?

I've had this theory for awhile Now And thought I'd just post it here. Its not a good one, But hey.

To anyone here who watches Naruto, You know There is a character named Gaara that has an automatic Sand Shield protection whenever he is attacked. I had a theory about Aang that is pretty similar.

First, Look at the air in these Pics:







My theory is that at times, Aang dosen't need Airbending for protection, It just instantly happens.

But of course we have seen Aang get hit several Times and get injured, So this is probably a very unlikley theroy.

Well...

Piccy 1: He's shielding himself from Zuko's attack.

Piccy 2: He was probably using Airbending to create that mushroom cloud

Piccy 3: He was airbending at the rock, not earthbending like Toph told him to. He didn't have the earthbending mentality yet.

So he's not cursed by air, he just uses it more often since it's his natural element.

Well number three was when he hadn't successfully earth bended yet. It's more akin to a boxer who's learning karate throwing a boxing punch instead of a karate punch because it's what he's used to.

BTW little note here. Anyone that compares Avatar to a non-relevient show (like Naruto) Is doomed to make no sense or relviance to the accually show.

^Not always so, since Avatar has been known for alluding to other shows.

However, in situations like these it's very difficult to support a theory based on the character's differences.

Gaara's Shukaku created a shield for him whenever danger was near.

Aang's ability is reflexive dodging and airbending, like Bumi said "Typical Airbender Tactics."

Yeah, Those were all airbending Tactics in those pictures, But they were the closest things I could find for proof. Its just a theory I had been thinking for awhile now, So it probably isn't true...
