Hey all, welcome to another year of this DH competition! It's off to a late start, but hopefully there will be enough entries this year. We already have one!
Entering the contest is super easy -- just carve an Avatar-themed pumpkin (or any other carve-able veggie like a watermelon or squash), take a photo, then send it in!
Everyone can enter regardless of age or country, and you have until Sunday, November 3rd to send in your carving photo. Anything Avatar: The Last Airbender or Legend of Korra related is welcome, so long as it is viewable for all ages. Each person can submit up to two carvings, and submitting as a group is fine too.
Voting will begin on Monday, November 4th, and you will be able to do so here. Everyone can vote, so if you're entering, be sure to tell your friends! Voting will stay open for two weeks, after which the top 15 entries will continue to be on display, and prizes for the Top 4 + Mod's Choice will be handed out.
Prizes for this year include crochet berets by Reynalyn, custom fanart by Alouncara, and small crochet keychains by me! If anyone would like to help provide additional prizes (be it custom fanart, crafts, etc), please email/message me for more info.
Interested? Then get to it! Entries can be emailed to me, or you can send it via PM.
Everyone can vote for their 5 favorite entries, and the poll will stay open until 10pm PST on Sunday November 17th. Thank you!
(Also updated the original post with this year's prizes. Thank you Reyn and Alouncara!)
(edit, arg. My usual voting script stopped working early this morning so I've updated it with a new one. Pro: now you can vote on mobile devices maybe it seems! Con: the file name had to be changed, and lost almost a full day of voting. Sorry!)

If you voted and saw a 'Thank you!' type of confirmation message, then it was received! But if when you voted you got a browser error like 'this page couldn't be accessed' sort of a thing, then it was not sent in.
I don't know why the old script stopped working; it was fine before I went to bed, and then a few hours later it's like the plug got pulled. What's weird is that I use the same script for my fanlist sites and those have stopped working too. Maybe it's something on my website host's end? Ah well, the new script is much better; I just wish I noticed the problem sooner.
