NOW they decided to run ATLA marathons...
Not that I am complaining...I mean...it's BAD ZUKO, you gotta love that!
But sheesh... when we were all having withdrawls - nothing!
Now, with a female Avatar...will mattel still only do the male characters?

Yeah I agree Gran, it does seem weird that now that the first series is over they decide to take an interest and promote it with marathons and such.

Yeah, it's really a shame, it could have been one of their biggest hits. I wonder if it had something to do with the creators having a set number of seasons in mind so Nick knew they couldn't just continue making episodes indefinitely if it ended up doing well.
Ah a soundtrack would be so awesome.

It's because its no spongebob. They aren't going to make the dividends that a show like Dora/Diego/Sponge can. Merchandise..... is what sells kids shows. The movie Cars is probably one of the great examples of that. Cars was not one of the biggest sellers or critically acclaimed movies in the Pixar arsenal, but you see it in kids stuff everywhere because it sells. Hell, it even got a sequel when others didn't.... (Incredibles... hint hint) I think that the reason that they are showing the old show more often is because they thought that the more adult audience where on the NICK bandwagon for a one-fer and then they would move on. Now that it seems that young/adult/adult audience is here to stay....... they can move to promoting the show like the Sponges of the world. Then you get all the 7-14's to love it.... and that's showbiz.
