Guess every form of specialized bending that we saw in TLA is now covered. Now we get to see new stuff? I'm beginning to think that the council members are just being bloodbended by Tarlock. They always go with whatever he says... I never even thought of that! But then, why wouldn't he bloodbend Tenzin as well? He obviously has some kind of control over the others that he doesn't have over Tenzin though. Of course I'm only joking when I say that (mostly). He makes no motions to suggest that he's bending when in the council.

Did everyone forget that car that the team used to patrol was a gift to Korra from Tarlock in an earlier episode when he was trying to win her favor? I guess they just kept it around on Air Temple Island. I totally did, but that would also bring up the question of How did Asami know about it? Or at least where it was kept. I thought I remembered the car as being red though, so I looked up the screenshots and it looks like they're different models. The one Tarrlok gifted Korra is sort of a plum-maroon and rectangular, and the tires are black with white spokes. Team Avatar's new ride is black with a curved frame, and the tires are white-walled with red centers. So I guess the car was Asami's? As for the Aang statue, the Republic City game says it was made by the Fire Nation some years after the war ended. But yeah, I too imagine that Aang would be modest about it. And thanks West for posting the new promo! Aw, so she is able to get some visions from meditating now at least, that's a good start. Also interesting on where Tarrlok would be hiding her. I would love to see some of the areas from ATLA and see how it would change, but I would figure he'd hide her somewhere abandoned, where she couldn't get help from other people. Although if one of those areas were abandoned, it would hit both birds. Those council members though, ugh. They definitely follow whatever Tarrlok suggests without a word, so he must have done something to intimidate/blackmail them just like he did with Chief Saikhan and tried with Korra. I wonder if there will be time for that to be addressed, or if it will just be left in the background.

I may or may not have man-squee'd at the brief vision of Older Sokka. Just a little. The most manly of man-squees, to be sure.

Upon watching the episode again, they got that car from what looked like a garage at the racetrack at Asami's home.

There's also the distinct possibility that they're utter blockheads. They may be being blackmailed...and they may be too thick to see that Amon isn't the only threat to liberty in town.
