Looks like we haven't seen this here yet... -- edit: Sorry guys. There's word going around (link) that show co-creator Mike DiMartino made a comment requesting that the Korra opening video not be reposted, so the links have been removed. You're welcome to continue discussing it here, but please don't link to any reposts of the vid, thank you. ~the staff

Aaah, thank you for posting this! I just heard about it; I'm still in shock that it's been leaked! But awww, look how big Aang is during the Airbending scene! =3 Baby's all grown up. I love that the other Avatars are doing the bending scenes as well.
So the narrator is J.K. Simmons; which sadly I figured out before I understood his intro as being Aang's son, but it's neat to see how he'll be voicing Tenzin. I adore Simmons so my opinion may be a bit biased, but I like it. It'll be interesting to see how Mako and Bolin will talk, should there be any more leaks before this show finally airs.

This is great! I love the idea of starting with the elements in their new sequence. I'm also pleased with the new animation style - everything looks really modern. I imagine that this leaked version will be like the "Katara's history lesson" thing from the A:TLA pilot. I wonder what the shortened version will look like?

The same person on youtube that uploaded the intro also posted a sneak peak at the first episode where Korra was firebending and talking to some "leaders/masters" and one of them says "Master Katara", so SHE'S STILL ALIVE, but she's apparently the only one. There was also a video by the same person that posted still pictures of the episode. (showed various pictures of baby?korra, tenzin and his wife/kids, korra in republic city.)
The videos got taken down (in about 10 minutes after it was posted so Youtube/Viacom is getting serious) so I can't link you and I don't think I should even if it was up, RATINGS would go down if the whole episode was leaked, so I'm really hoping this person is smart and isn't going to post the first episode. And suppoosssiddllyyy this person does have the whole first episode... I keep wondering if it's like a person at Nick trolling us... LOL but probably not this person is really going a long way to keep posting up videos and even made a twitter/tumblr....

Aw this makes me miss ATLA and be excited for Korra all at the same time. I love the opening, Tenzin sounds exactly as he should. I like that they are incorporating the old Gaang right from the start. I agree with kaangluv that it will be interesting to see what the shortened version is like. I would say that it would be more indicative of what the main conflict of the series is.
@xmzlazyx: I agree that it could be really bad for ratings. Surely they will put a stop to it before too much is posted. I enjoy seeing little sneak peaks and I honestly think that without them people loose interest a little. However, I really don't want the whole series to be on watched on youtube either and kill all the excitement of Avatar coming back.

Is this in reference to me? I wasn't asking for a link to the video, I was asking for one to a SUMMARY of the video. But I did manage to find descriptions, so that isn't necessary anymore.

Id appreciate a summary of the clip too. If theres no gag on discussing it, it should be ok to describe it. Btw, how was the music?

@mzlazy, it's possible that the ratings could get hurt, but then again it might not make that much of a difference. Back during the summer, a highly-anticipated episode of Adventure Time (Fionna and Cake) leaked online like two weeks before it aired on tv. Two weeks! It was spread all over the internet, everyone was going crazy, it was amazing. So what happened when it aired on tv two Mondays later? According to TvByTheNumbers, it had the highest ratings for the show's entire history, boosted the ratings for the rest of that evening's shows, and made it the best (Monday?) performance for the year so far for that network. Would the ratings have been higher had it not been leaked? Possibly. But at the same time, if people had the opportunity to watch it on tv, would they really turn it away because they had already watched a low-quality version of it online? Everyone's got their own reasons of course, but I feel like if people really like a show, most of them will support it when it officially comes out. However, there's a difference between leaking a particular mid-season episode and the pilot episode for something that hasn't even started airing yet, and I find it kind of heartbreaking that this is how Legend of Korra is being introduced. No fanfare, no Avatar parties or pre-watch marathons, just a sudden anonymous leak. I mean I get the frustration of waiting; the entire first season is apparently finished and we don't even have a premiere date yet. But still... it's sad. I'm with ILZ on that little clips help keep up the excitement, but at some point it becomes too much. Although I guess I'm talking as if the whole episode is out already, which it's not although it seems inevitable, so I'll just pick up my rambling self and go.

Just saw the clip and mannnnn is this going to be epic! Really like how they did the Earth-Fire-Air-Water opening to represent the new cycle, and the narrator is pretty beast. Is it 2012 already?

@musogato just kind of to add to your point, if I remember correctly wasn't the Headband leaked a couple days early? I'll admit to watching it online :/ , but then I went to watch it again with my family on our big TV. A 3x5 video is good enough to get the idea of that animation, and the whole plot, but you definitely want to watch it again to appreciate the full sized thing. If anything I think the opening will help promote the show, it makes a good trailer in itself, it catches up new viewers, and gives juicy info for old ones to get them interested again.

I can't remember if The Headband was, but I know Lake Laogai was. Although that was on the official Nick website, so it's kind of more of a negligent programmer than a rogue employee. I'm guilty of watching some of those early leaks as well though, haha. ^^; But yeah, nothing really beats watching it on a big screen, although it's too bad the fan response is always more subdued when it was leaked early. I remember that being a big problem during half of season three when all those episodes were airing weeks earlier overseas.
I agree though, the opening credits make for great promotion, and definitely helps hold up the hype until next Spring when we (should? hopefully?) be getting more official information.
