It's only a rumor, but I found this on the web: This would be interesting, though I'm trying to figure out who would be willing to procreate with Azula... And this also seems to suggest a Sukka child...

Sorry Skye, but Nick.com's message boards aren't considered a credible source. L&T.

I was just about to post this, but this thread just got... combo-locked?
Sorry, but Nick.com message boards aren't exactly known for being accurate. They consist of mostly younger kids who speculate and circulate their own rumors.

Ah, sorry guys! I heard about this thread idea earlier and Ok'd it. ^^;
While I agree that the Nick.com boards aren't a credible source, the post this info is from is by a Nick mod that was written back in July, and the rest of the rumoured info on that list has been confirmed. (well, Wei Bei was on Twitter by someone auditioning for him/her, but still)
Even though the grandkids/Azula rumour hasn't been mentioned on any other sites (at least, not any I've found), I thought it would be something interesting to discuss while we wait for more info. Maybe it'll happen, maybe it won't, but as long as we're clear that it's an unconfirmed rumour, I don't think it'll hurt to leave it open for now. :3

Whether rumor or not, I can only shudder at the thought of anyone wanting to procreate with Azula... That ranks so many levels of WRONG on the Squick meter... It makes me curious and at the same time fearful of both the process and the results... Uuugghhhhh.... I was kinda hoping that the whole "descendants of the original heroes having adventures like their elders" trope got skipped this time around. I wanted to see more new stories with more new characters (Aside from Tenzin being the only or few nods to continuity with the original series characters) instead of the descendants merely being rehashes of their elder versions.... One big problem I have with that whole scenario is how the hell do they explain anyone in their right minds wanting to copulate with Azula. (bleech) And tbh I don't want to see any more descendants of the good guys (if any) always having to fight the descendants of the bad guys trope. I know this is supposed to be a kids show that set a precedent for that sort of thing in the last series but I was hoping for more story diversity/variety. Let's hope they pull it off well.

I'm with the other people, I really don't think that anyone would be willing to procreate with the crazyness that is Azula. But as of the other news, 100% honest that Azula is not alive. They have just said that no one in the Aang generation is still alive.
Thanks for the news though, even if it isn't going to really happen it is cool to think about for sure =P

Late, but I don't think it's that hard to believe that someone would want to be with Azula. She's very pretty, and some people go for her personality type. I would think her constant manipulation would cause problems in the relationship, but there are plenty of Mean Girls irl who have no problems getting boyfriends. That guy from the Ember Island party liked her [for a few minutes, anyway], plus the Dai Li did choose her over Long Feng, which should count for something. If she got the help she needed post-finale, I could believe she could recover and maybe try to find some sort of normalcy. (Or plot to rule the world again, whatever works.)
Plot-wise, The grandkids vs grandkids does kind of bug me. It has such a chance of being really cheesy/heavy-handed. Although I guess it was done subtly in the first series, sort of, but the reveal was so late it felt more like an after-thought / post-series realization. If it was handled well, and the characters were definitely their own and not complete rehashes of previous personalities, I'd probably be okay with it.

Assuming she repaired her mental failures, I'm sure she would have enough personality to deceive men into procreating with her. Otherwise, she was a victim of manipulation herself in her more vulnerable mentality.
Plus I don't think personality matters when it comes to mating/deeds if it's for the sake of mating.

True, but my line of thinking is that it wouldn't be that impossible for her to have an actual relationship. It probably wouldn't be a 'and they lived happily ever after' sort of deal, especially if she still has a lot of issues to work out. I just don't think a family life for her is so far-fetched. Regardless of her status when she grows up, (er, grew up, since this is 70 years later), she just doesn't seem like the old maid type to me.

Azula was manipulative because of her issues with her mother. The purpose of using manipulation was to avoid abandonment, angering Ozai, and betrayal. When Mai and Ty Lee betrayed her, she realized controlling people through fear was no longer effective. That was why she lost her mind. Assuming she regained her mind, it would be very pointless for her to manipulate people because they wouldn't fear her. And she doesn't need it when she realized that Ursa loved her. Will any Fire Nation nobleman who married her want to get in trouble with Zuko or his son? Very unlikely.
Aang and his friends will be like, " Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." And she did fool them once in The Day of Black Sun.
Azula wanted her mother to love her not world domination. Also, she can't change the fact that Zuko's grandchildren are the legitimate heirs to the throne. If Korra will fight a new main villain from the Fire Nation, it would be predictable. Besides, Mike and Bryan can do whatever they want to their series.

If Korra will fight a new main villain from the Fire Nation, it would be predictable. That's the problem that I have with this theory. It seems way too predictable, maybe there will be a small conflict between them or something along those lines, instead of them being one of the key villains. Mike and Bryan seem very adamant about making this series different and separate from ATLA, so I don't think they would choose the next villain to not only be from the Fire Nation, but also a descendant of a previous villain.

It should be borne in mind that we still dont know to what extent any of the 4 nations in their original form still exists. Talking about the Fire Nation maybe as defunct as talking about the Soviet Union today. Not disagreeing with your point but its something to consider.

Very good point. Most likely all the people from the Fire Nation in the Republic City are the colonials. They might not be loyal to the Fire Lord because they are under the authority of the government of the Republic City like the rest of people who are from the Water Tribes and the Earth Kingdom. It is possible that the fire sages will pick the next Fire Lord after Zuko if their authority is restored or bending is not required to become Fire Lord. Korra most likely learned firebending in the Fire Nation not its former colonies. Also,It would be very predictable if the next generation of good guys fix the mistakes of the previous one. Roku saw the war as his mistake and wanted Aang to fix it.
According to Andrea Romano, the old generation is gone and it is time for a new generation. So I don't think Azula will be present in the legend of Korra.
