My driver's license!
WHAT DO I DO. I don't care that I lost it, I care for my identity. If someone gets a hand on my mother farm-truckin' license....I have no idea how bad I could get screwed over.

/facepalm.
Ok, Love. SLOW DOWN! BREATHE!
Retrace your steps. It's probably just stuck somewhere. (I constantly misplace my wallet.)
Once you are 100% sure you actually lost it, you get a new one. and monitor your credit. and don't put your social security number on it.
(It's past 1AM here so I am not as smart as I usually am, so I am not 100% sure what you do when you lose your DL. You can always call the office in the morning and ask them. Naturally wit will cost you to have it replaced)
BREATHE. you probably just stuck it in a dumb place.

Uh-oh! Do you think you misplaced it somewhere at home, or lost it out in the public? Some states require you to file a police report if your id is lost/stolen, so you should call the DMV or check your state's online dmv site to see if that's what you need to do, if it is indeed gone. Otherwise it's like Gran said, you just have to get it replaced. I hope you find it, though!

You mean you lost it as in misplaced it rather than lost it because you were doing something that caused it to be taken away from you, right?
Yeah...what the others said...retrace your steps...talk to the powers that be in your locale...or replace it...

This is kinda late but I'm assuming that you took it out of your wallet or where you usually keep it and if that's the case then either you used it for something (like identification for a credit/debit card) or... other ideas would be: - someone went into your personal belongings and took it - it could be that it slipped out somewhere. - you went inside a bank to do a withdrawal. If you did retrace your steps, another solution would be to ask the people who you were with or think about where you went that day. If all else fails then you'll have to get it replaced like everyone said. Hopefully you can update everyone soon about what you've done about it so far....

I wouldn't worry as much about identity theft with your driver's license as I would with your social security number. Just relax, and if you've determined it's lost and not just temporarily misplaced, take the steps as outlined by your state DMV to get it replaced.

I got a new license. It cost me $11 in the state of Texas (the hell you live, Shay?).
Then I found it. On my dresser. I guess it slipped out of my wallet when I picked it up because I didn't put it back properly when I had to show it to the cashier at a grocery store.
I guess I could just have two, and keep one at home, in case I lose it for real....because, legally, I'm not supposed to have my current one when my new one comes in.
I feel like an idiot.

Oh geez, it cost me $32 to get my adult driver's license. Boo NC...
But anyway, that's a story. One time, I lost my license (or permit, I can't remember anymore tbh) and my dad and I drove back to where we had gone to eat and between home only to find that it had fallen into the back seat of the car when I set it on the console in the middle of the Tahoe.
Oops.

I feel like an idiot. it has happened to cooler people than you, Honest! Not sure what the rules are bout finding your lost drivers license. But maybe you should make sure you are legal on that. It could be used for nefarious purposes (that's why it is a big deal if it's lost or stolen!) But I guess you could just throw it in a shredder...I mean, lost or destroyed....

I feel like an idiot. Don't feel so bad about it because it could have been worse. It's good to see that at least your old DL isn't in the wrong hands. Case Closed! lol

I know that if you have 2 military id's because you thought you lost the old one, & then found it after you got a new one, you have to turn the older one in. Apparently it's illegal to have two.
