I Performed the Last Airbender Original Score!

So as you may or may not know, I'm a major band geek. I've participated in honor bands and what not across California- it's kind of a thing for our district. We're really well known.

Every year, we do this all district concert where all the best students play. Each year, a different facet of music is explored. This year it was an orchestra year, so the orchestra got a guest conductor- Pete Anthony!

He's a hotshot in the film music world, and he brought the Last Airbender score with him. I played "The Wave". I'm not sure what scene it's from, but I know we played the music with click track against the picture.. so everyone else got to watch the movie!

It sounded really nice- so just thought I'd share.

I know right! We'd need some really strange percussion instruments.

Speaking of percussion- I don't know if you saw the "Prom?" video that went viral of the boy asking a girl out to prom with a song (Jason asking Lianna), but the kid singing and the kid doing the shaker are our percussionists. :3 We're famous, what can I say....
