Shaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy. I missed you. :3
I am the most lazy, so this will be a summary. Whoo.
OKAY SO 2010. January through April was filled with me being anxious over college acceptances/rejections, so that was pretty fun. May was whoooo 18th birthday, but nothing really happened because I graduated a month later, so we just shoved both parties together. June took forever because I had been bored with high school for a year already, and graduation was pretty annoying (~90 something out with extreme humidity - I was wearing this gross polyester black robe, too). I did nothing in July, and got a job in August. Whoooooo. In August I went to Montreal for a few days, which was awesome. It was my first time out of the country/north of Boston too, so that was cool. September -> December was boring, I was just taking classes and working, pretty wow great. Oh, and in October I went to my first legit concert with Syarafire (along with city meetup). Fun times.
All the tl;dr, but I don't care at all. <3

Hies. Don't have much to say, I go to work, come home and occasionally do stuff on the weekends. We got a lot of boating and some backpacking in this year. I "discovered" Bent Creek for mountain biking in Asheville. It's a good place to go so I am pretty excited about that. I love my chat frenz and hope we hold it together for 2011. You keep me going. =] Edit: derp. "Christmas Card thread" Have some Plum Pudding!

Hey DHers!
I don't do cards, and I don't sing all that well, but there really is no better way for me to say Merry Christmas than to say MERRY AVATAR!
Love, Seabiscuit!

Hi all, I'm happy to share my year and catch up with you all.. I started off January extremely excited, because I was accepted to the California All State Honor Band on the bass clarinet. So I practiced and practiced to get ready for the grueling weekend in February where it would all come to fruition. In the meantime, I took a week off high school to help my community and my elementary school at their fifth grade science camp in Malibu as a counselor, which was absolutely wonderful. I also worked with the kids in music, getting ready for our all district concert called Stairway to the Stars. The little ones are so excited, but once you get to my age (now a junior) it's a little tedious to sit for about four hours in the Civic Center, only to play for about five minutes. Then in March I participated in another All State Honor Group at CalPoly SLO. I met a bunch of awesome people as well as a renowned composer, and I can't wait to go back this year. March also brought the concert of the decade- Bamboozle Left- where I saw Something Corporate in their first concert in years. Come April and May and June, everything pretty much calmed down. Testing took the place of normal class schedules and high school over took my life. It'll be even worse this year with all my AP classes! Then of course June brought summer and graduation for my senior friends. I gave a hearty goodbye and sent them off to college with musical mementos I hope they still listen to. I spent the summer vacation with one of those graduates before he went of to the big bad world. Weekends of Rocky Horror and days of Miyazaki movies were so enjoyable. I also took a week to mentor at a local music camp for middle schoolers, spent a week in the mountains with my family, and two weeks a little farther south at a very intensive arts program- a fortnight of nearly nonstop clarinet! And then two weeks of marching band camp to close off the whirlwind vacation. Junior year has brought AP's, daunting college decisions, and of course another year of marching band. We worked for hours upon hours on our field show, to come out seventh in Southern California. I'm very proud of my band family and hope to audition for drum major in the coming months. Other than that, I've spent the time in-between enjoying whatever this world has to offer me- and doing hours of homework of course. So glad to hear all is well with the rest of you! - Abby (Splendi)
