Well, November is the month. Even though I have a ton of ideas, they are not the kind I want to pursuit for this, writer's block maybe? So I am starting a thread for all those idea challenged wannabe writers for this little challenge. www.nanowrimo.org/ for more info. I was thinking to explore the mishaps of a teenage Mage in training... Writing starts on November 1st....(maybe)

That sounds like it'd be fun, Gran!
I don't really have any solid character or plot ideas yet, but I do know where I'd like my story to take place. (either in the desert, or Hawaii. <3) The more I try to attach some character or plot idea to my locations though, the more stressed out I get 'cause it's not flowing right. I'm starting to think I'll just wing it instead. Maybe it'll end up being about time-traveling geckos, I don't know. ^^;
Actually, scratch the uncertainty. I love the time-traveling geckos.

Aw, hang in there Gran! There's still time to catch up. I'm only half-way to where my total word count should be, but a few days of inspired scene writing will help close the gap. *nods* As for unsticking your hero, what if you tried jumping over it and wrote a following scene instead? Just come back to that problem scene later when you think of a way to solve it? I've been writing random scenes for my story instead of going from beginning-to-end, and it's really helped keep the pressure off. Plus if I discover something about my characters, I can add a tidbit about it to one of the earlier scenes so it looks like I planned it all along.

lol, I shall try, but so far I have no idea where he will be once unstuck. So we putter along. At least he made some friends today.

I was a bit worried last week when the stats page told me I'd be finished by Dec 15, but now I'm finally getting in the grove of writing and am almost completely caught up!
I've spent a bit longer that I intended on random filler though...but if all goes well I should be able to get around to starting the main conflict in the next few thousand words or so.

rofl. I am slowly drifting back 1600 words at a time! I thought my story was boring and drawn out, but then I reread parts and I am amazed how relatively well it flows. At one point I will have to fix all the semantic failures I build in, probably costing me a thousand words

The deadline draws near! ;_;
I can see the finish line, but my story has completely run out of steam. I have no idea how to end it. @_@
How's everyone else doing?
