Iiiiiit's Auri! Two years older! DX That long, huh?
Anyways, since these two years have passed, I've gotten different interests, different goals, different likes and dislikes, but there are also something I that have stayed the same. I'm pretty sure the same goes for you people here. So why don't you tell us your ambitions and dreams. Give an explanation why you want to or how you're trying to get it. You might be surprised when, two years from now, that little dream of yours came true.
Okay! My turn fuuurst~ I...Want...To...Be...A...VOICE ACTOR. Now two years ago, this was a very TEENY TINY MUSTARD SEED of an ambition, but now I think I'm really interested. I've actually joined a amateur voice acting forums and auditions for a few. I don't expect to become INSTANTLY FAMOUS or SPONTANEOUSLY RICH. But I do think I would enjoy this. It's kinda scary though, since this might actually be what drives me to choose my career. I'm 17, a senior in this final year of high school, and the biggest question is, "What will you do for the rest of your life?" Whatever I choose, I know I have to take the entire package and not just what I like.
NAO WHAT ABOUT YOO~?!

I'm really not into the whole idea of a career, and I'd really like to be a stay at home mother. Some people say that's just being ~lazy~ but lol not really. However, I am really passionate about baking/cooking, but I'm going to school for International Business. I was thinking of going to cooking school after, but only for myself, not really to become a chef.. Also, I really want to speak at least 5 languages, so I think I'd like to have a job where I get to interact with people from all over the world and speak those languages, or be a translator..
lmao I have no idea what to do with my life )):

OH I WANT TO LEARN LOTSA LANGUAGES TOO. I love it. I'm such a nurd that in my spare time I love to read "LEARN __________" books. I have liek, twelve of those. I just need some in Korean and German and Italian and I'M ALL SET. =D
Don't worry I have no idea what to do with my life, especially since EVERYONE with a job is like, "WHAT'S YOUR CAREER CHOICE? YOU SHOULD BE A PHYSICAL THERAPIST/NURSE/ENTREPRENEUR/LABORATORY TECHNICIAN/TEACHER/LINGUIST/TRANSLATOR/HOOKAAAAAH." It's really confusing. DX

I want to learn Korean and Italian too. But I'm taking Mandarin at school. I think I'll either take Italian or Japanese (or both) when I get to upper level Mandarin. And then my mom's pressuring me to test out of Spanish so I can have a minor in that, too. lmao
Ugh.

Travel to the Asian countries first. Sure lots of people are in poverty in many of them, but it kinda opens your eyes to the world when you realize that not everyone lives in the paradise you live in. I know it's somewhat cheesy saying that, but after going the Philippines with my family, I realize how much I take for granted (like a house with centralized air conditioning or even a car with air conditioning.)
What's really neat and yet very heartbreaking is seeing how people in extreme poverty cope. Japan has a little homeless communities where people make out of boxes makeshift houses with windows and have their own gardens, and save money to invest in stuff like bicycles. (Seriously. There was an article about it on Tofugu.)

I just need money. Screw actual work, if this affiliate marketing thing I'm going to be starting in about a week takes off, I'll just pay to have ads posted online and reap the rewards from now til Kingdom come. ...This was two years ago okay? D= edit: So if I hold Zuko X Sokka signature, it's not yaoi? And yet you maintain these things, despite saying in your re-intro thread that you'd change them.

I'd like to be an environmental engineer. I like building, designing, and being environmentally friendly in general, so it seems to fit. But eventually I want to be a stay at home mom too. I'm not sure how everything's going to work out, but those are the basics right now. ^-^

I'm majoring in a concentration of animation and writing. My current plan is to work in the animation industry, but in a higher ranking creative position. Focusing my studies only on the visual end of things could easily result in rather menial low paying work, hence the additional focus on writing.
Just working as an animator strikes me as rather unpleasant, especially after having interned at a studio. I'm sure it would be good fun for some people, but to me it seems like too large a portion of it is just doing tedious work on projects you hate. So that's why I'm aiming for a more "creative" position, storyboarding, writing, directing, so on.
Some additional studies are in business and producing, for obvious reasons.

my ambitions/ dreams.... hmmm...well i took welding and metal fabrication as my trade in high school...and i might do something related to metalwork.. its not really something im deeply devoted to but it pays darn good money! lol i do have back ups (book editor, graphic designer, machinist, photographer..some people call me a "jack of all trades..but a master of none..lol) but i know im definitely not going to be working in that field too long..just long enough to get settled and started in life.. And being the minority (a woman in a man dominated field) is actually a good thing so it'll be easier for me to get a job as well.hehe! i dont mind working with my hands and working hard to accomplish a task but at the same time..i dont mind being still and doing something that requires me to sit and type all day. i could do anything really...i just havent found that "OMG, that seems awesome! i could do that job for the rest of my life." dream job yet... I just need to get my foot in the door (cuz ive only had a few jobs..both being not in welding and mediocre) and i'll be set. but something that im really passionate of is that i wanna birth/raise two beautiful children and be a wife to my wonderful high school love. ^_^ and have a home to raise them in as well...lol My dreams......would probably be to travel around the world and experience different cultures and traditions. Cuz i feel that people could probably get a feel for what a certain culture is about...but cant truely understand what it really is until you experience it unbiased. some may say that my ambitions/dreams are normal or boring...but i find just the adventure of life itself exciting..sooo..

I want to be an actress or a musician. If I can be both, even better. I'm working on a degree in music, and I'm still getting as much experience as I can around town, and even though there's still a nagging little thought in the back of my head wondering if I'll make it, I feel like I might have the chops to do so, so why not pursue it? I've also got my own production company now, so I guess I could still be working in the entertainment business if I really want to. I won't really know how good I am until I get out of this town, however.

I really want to get accepted to the University of Miami~. GO CANES! <3 Anyhow, Graduate from medical school, too, and become a Gastroenterologist. If that fails, a Cosmetologist. Right now, I just want to learn Japanese, get amazing grades, and get my Mustang.

One of my biggest goals is to do concept art for video games and animation. In the near future I'd like to get an internship with any company in the industry, namely Nickelodeon.
