YES! I'm excited. But a mini-series? We haven't had Avatar in years, and now just a mini-series. God, I hate Nickelodeon.

Although I'm sure that Bryke will try and pull in some new fans from a younger demographic, it sounds like they're going to stay loyal to us tried and true fans who were with them from the beginning. And who've grown older and wiser since then... ya so someone who was 12 when it started is now 17-18 and 10 to 15-16 so im very happy how theyre gonna make it a bit more mature

I know many are upset that it's a miniseries, but look at it this way:
No more "The Great Divide."

Despite the fact that this new series will be a mini-series, it's certainly better than nothing! I'm looking forward to Aang's presence in the new series and somehow I knew that old age would bite him in the butt laterXD
Keep up the ....updating^^()

A terrible and spoiler-y new tidbit has been added. While I'm hoping it may be some sort of misunderstanding, I'll raging off screen for now.

Meh, them dying isn't that big of a deal..
Also, the voice-director said that they are making a 12 episode mini-series and have already recorded 3 episodes, but will see how it goes from there.
So it's possible that the mini-series will have a full series stem from it.

Sighhh, that really was a dream crusher.... On the bright side, a mini series is better than nothing. I look forward to it since it's a creation by Mike and Bryan after all. (:

No, the real dream crusher is that we have to wait until next year for it. The other thing is to be expected. But the fact that almost everybody who worked on Avatar to make it awesome (Bryan and Mike, The Track Team, etc.) is coming back, yeah, that's epic. Still wish we didn't have to wait til next year.

i am soooooo sooo tempted to see what this dream crusher is and who it is but for the sake of building up the anxiety and excitement for maybe the final part of avatar i wont look at it until they reveal it in the premiere. hopefully i can dodge all the random spoilers in all the websites...
tnx musogato for the spoiler tags xDDD

Excuse me whilst I rant under the spoiler tag HOW THE CRAP ARE THEY ALL DEAD? Toph would only be like, 82? For pete's sake, Boomi was 112 and still young and vital, and I have a hard time beleving that Toph, the most powerful Earthbender in the world, would be dead so early. I can believe that Aang would be, yes, cause of the ice burg, but not everyone else. Sozin was over 100 when he died.

Indeed this news makes me a sad panda. I was hoping at least some of them would still be alive but alas.... Truly this is a dream crusher.

Well the page took so long loading that the spoiler tags showed up a significant time after I could read the spoiler, so I have unwillingly been spoiled. -________- So them being dead seems somewhat unreasonable and I guess a cop out. Like they didn't want to deal with how the characters grew up and just offed them. Or if they left them alive it would be too tempting to bring them into the show?
I suppose it's better this way. If the gAang were alive, they'd be dragged into the storyline and hold it back from becoming its own. I bet we get enough of them in flashbacks from Avatar Aang.
