Im hoping that Andrea either got it wrong or mispoke. Anyway, its a Bryke-made avatar related tv series. Theres no way Im going to boycott it without giving it the benefit of a viewing no matter what new info comes out.

I'm not talking boycott...I'm talking lack of interest. There's been nothing released so far that sparks my curiosity in the least. Things may be different when I actually SEE something.

wow...really guys? idk about all of u. but despite the somewhat kinda shakey plot of this new series in the Avatar world im excited about it. i think we'll get a few things resolved from our beloved original as well as some fresh new concepts from this new show as well.. and i know that once this show airs its probably gonna split the fandom a bit...from those who like both shows/those who like the original/those who like TLoK...so can we all at least be happy for a few things?..like that bryke will be back in action..as well as most of the crew from ATLA. that,in itself is something truely special. why cant we look at the bright side of things 4 once? it really confounds me how negative people can be in society sometimes....

I agree with Aanglover. Something new is better than nothing at all. Furthermore, what I know of the basic plot is interesting to me. The only thing I dislike is that we have to wait a whole year to see it. On the flip side, that's a full year to release more information.

The only thing I am truly saddened to hear regarding news about this new series so far is the recent possibility/rumors that the old Gaang is no more. Other than that I am pumped for this series and everything else I've heard about it so far, and I don't care that we'll have to wait for more than a year from now, that just means more time for Bryke and team to get it right like they did the last series.
So I say more power to them and I eagerly await more news...

I agree. I look forward to learning more about Airbending as I feel that it didnt get a chance to shine in the original series. I dont think we got to see the full range of the bending skills because Aang was more focused on learning the other bending skills as he had already mastered airbending.

Aaw, sorry you got spoiled, Nymph. Interest/disinterest-wise, for me it kind of depends. General show info-wise I'm definitely interested in seeing it and I'm glad there's a new show. Reading about how excited Mike and Bryan are for the show makes me more favorable for it as well. But as soon as I focus on some other subject, I kinda stop caring. ^^; But I'm also sorta single-minded like that. So, I guess you'd say LoK is on the back-burner for me? It'll probably stick with me more once it gets closer to airing, or at least when an animation preview/trailer comes out. The latest info certainly has me more on the somber side for it, though. As for how there can be negative views... it's the same as how there can be optimistic views. It's all individual perspective. Some saying about walking a mile in another person's shoes would probably apply here.

To be honest, I lost interest as soon as it was announced it was set in the Avatar world's future...I so do not want to see that which I cannot name made even more concrete (yes...even after all this time, I still don't like it...or speak its name). With each new piece of information released I lose more and more interest... But, as Musogato said, it's a personal thing. You can't please all of the people all of the time...and I'm darn hard to please at the best of times

i can see how some people aren't interested in this new series..i get where the few of you are coming from. You want to have speculation and unresolved questions so you guys can be original and make amazing fanfictions and opinions about what happened after Avatar. Some people really like cliff-hangers. though, they are not for me. And also the thought of the series being "over-milked" and changed into something that it's not.
I have to admit, at first, i wasn't really excited about this new series b/c i was afraid it would stray away from the original old cultural aspects and more into the technology. But after Bryke's quotes about it staying true to the original source; that made me feel better. And having most of the Avatar crew back made me feel comfortable..(when i saw Joaquim Dos Santos was with them, i sighed in relief) lol sure i think that this mini-series isn't going to be as epic as Avatar...cuz nothing can be as epic as that show was or top-it for that matter. im definitely gonna keep an eye out for these updates and watch the premiere of the show (just like i did with Avatar) and make my own opinion about the show. unfortunately, it's like... a year away!!!

There's 75 years of events between the end of Aang's story and the beginning of Korra's, and while I'm willing to bet some questions will be answered, there's no way they can satisfy 75 years worth of questions in 12 episodes. What'll happen is more likely a brief synopsis of major events to get from Aang to Korra, and even then, without there being definitely "This happened, then this, and this, and this almost happened, but thankfully, it didn't, but sadly, this happened as a result." there's still plenty of room for speculation and whatnot.

As Aanglover said I can understand why some people like to avoid the future of the story and any possibility of cementing some aspects of the old story that they did not prefer. As for me, I appreciated all parts of the canon story and IMO what makes a good story is continuity and forward development. I definitely like the time jump move that Bryke have instituted by telling new stories and new perspectives on the world they've created even if I don't necessarily agree with the strong possibility that the old Gaang had to be physically removed as a means to make way for that new chapter of stories.

I think that although the old Gaang being no more is a loss, we will grow just as close to the new team. At least there may be mentions of their legacies, which wouldn't happen if it was a prequel. For now, I am confident in Bryke to bring us another amazing world.

If thou canst not name it, cans thou at least hit at what it is so I might know what it is thou art talking about? Thoust art unaware of mine feelings towards the relationship that he who appears in my signature was forced into upon the final season of that which came before this? T'was common knowledge, thought I.
