All the manga/anime I know of is already almost 10 years old, or I lost track since TV seems to have lost interest in it...
I guess they can't handle it when their kiddy cartoon turns dark, sinister and violent...
To top it of, the library in the new town is not as well equipped...not a lot of manga going...which reminds me, I need to return my books, before I owe them a new wing...

Dunno. I've gone back and picked up older stuff. Yu Yu Hakusho, Full Metal Alchemist (just in time for it to be completed!), etc.

What have you seen or read already? I would definitely recommend picking up Fullmetal Alchemist again - the manga just wrapped up, and it is AMAZING. And if you haven't watched it - check out the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood anime. It's an adaptation of the manga storyline that takes it up right to the very end! Of course, I'd always recommend Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop. I myself am going to try checking out Michiko to Hatchin (I've heard good things) - and Ouran High School Host Club, just for the hell of it.

Luthien - we should be closer. That's pretty much my anime playlist.

Well the summer 2010 season ended. If you want to check out series from that season I recommend Shiki, especially if you like a good mystery. Starts off slow but really progresses as the episodes go by. Also, if you like zombies check out High School of the Dead. A bit fanservicey but a solid action series. And if you've followed the first season of K-On you'll definitely want to check out the last season. Also, Occult Academy was a pretty solid series for summer '10.
Fall 2011's line-up doesn't look that interesting at the moment, but I'll be checking out some series to find some nice surprises. For sure at the top of my list I'd recommend To Aru Majutsu no Index II, but that's only if you've seen the first season.
As far as manga goes check out the stuff Inio Asano worked on. I've only read two of his works, but between the two, Solanin is my favorite. Nijigahara Holograph is a little dark but still a good read.
