link: www.darkhorse.com/Books/Previews/16-782?page=1The Dark Horse Comics website has released some pages to preview the Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Art of the Animated Series book online. You can see lots of beautiful backgrounds and the early designs for Azula, Mai, Ty Lee, and Toph. Some hippies and The Boulder are included, too.

Ah! Thanks for linking this! Man, even the chapter pages are pretty. I love how much commentary there is on the various stuff; I can't wait to get my copy so I can actually read it. ^^ All of the sketches and background art are really great too. <3

Hey all! I didnt see any updates here, so I thought I would pass this information around for those that do not know. The artbook has been released and its MORE than I had hoped for ;D As many of you know, I own a lot of Avatar merchandise. Next to plush Appa, this is by far my favorite piece in my collection. You can still buy the book on Amazon if you cannot find them at local bookstores. Also, if you are in the L.A. area this weekend, Mike Di Martino and Bryan Konietzko will be there signing the art book!!! This is a great chance to meet them outside of a convention and get their autograph. Im sorry I havent been here in a while! I hope you all are doing awesome ^^

Oh, I'd nearly forgotten about this! It looks really great, but I don't have the money for it at the moment. And augh, why does everything awesome have to happen on the west coast? I would definitely go to that signing if it was even remotely near me.

The book is quite awesome. The cover was done for the first DVD...but was deemed 'not dramatic enough' to make the cut...they guys were happy it finally found a home.
