@musogato: Thank you for your insight and i'm not offended. i just never thought in that perspective. i just never knew that Shaymalan had a specific race in mind for the characters when he was choosing the roles. i'm still going to see the movie regardless though because it seems that all-in-all it won't be as bad as his previous films...(especially Lady in the Water) xD...this not-making-the-actual-story-line-but-directing-it might just be what he needs to get his career off of thin ice! lol I'm trying not to watch this trailer yet - hoping to see it on the big screen for the first time. I always find that I get more excited about movies when I see the first full trailer at the movies. ^_^ The race issue as a whole doesn't bother me too much, but the white Katara and Sokka with the rest of the Water Tribe does. That's ridiculous. They all have to be the same. And I never noticed the lack of hair loopies till someone pointed it out. That's so sad. if you look..she does have hair loopies...they're just on the top of her head instead of along side her face....at least they kinda kept to that?...kinda....

When I heard that they were making a live action movie I was like...great. One more of my favorite things that Hollywood will have fun ruining. But when I saw the first trailer I was shocked. It was "hmmm, that doesn't look that bad." And then seeing the last trailer I got so incredibly giddy. I can say that I am looking forward to seeing this movie. Wish it would just come out already hahaha. Even with all the casting fiasco....I approve. Iroh with dreadlocks is a little odd, but hey. I'm not judging the movie until I see it.

When I first saw and heard Iroh I was like "hmm, different direction". But I feel like it will work just fine. There is very little, other than Noah Ringer that concern me about this film. Maybe however much of the plot the changees and how noah acts and sounds. But other than that and (Zuko, Iroh, Sokka, Katara, any Jet in the movie at all?) I'm feeling pretty good. Just small things, heheh. ^_^

I am so pumped to see this. There are the few things that I think "well hey, shouldn't it be like this..." but for the most part it looks good for being a representative film. Of course it won't be as great as the series, and for one at least the movie is keeping the whole A:TLA alive a bit. Lets just see how it turns out when its released. I hope there's one more trailer before the movie comes out (there HAS to be), so we can make more judgement.

There's a few minor things, but nothing that would change my opinion of the film. I think Noah Ringer is really good for Aang. He's a cute kid and also resembles Aang a lot. Nicola Peltz seems to do a good job from the trailer. I'm more so excited to see Seychelle Gabriel as Princess Yue!!

i agree with all of you....Noah Ringer is what i pictured when looking at a live action avatar movie...he's got the moves and looks and he's just so darn adorable! and he's supposed to be a kid in book 1 so hopefully they'll throw in some of aang's goofyness so it's not so serious. i have hope for this boy! as for the other characters... zuko: i wish Dev had ponytail...kinda makes me sad.. katara: amazing voice there Peltz, not likin her outfit as much though sokka: Rathbone definitely has the humor to do this part.. Yue: amazing.....just....amazingly right on spot! iroh: the dreadlocks are different...but not a badddd different (wish Toub was fat though.) XD gran gran: no real acting from Houghton yet..but the trailer voice tells me she'll be good. Suki: from the promo poster..she seems very martial-artsy.. ;D Zhao: definitely not how i pictured him at all..thought he would be older than that....good bending though
