dang. That looks very promising. I wanted to hear how Noah Ringer sounded. I feel like out of all the actors or actresses he is being kept a secret. Hopefully for good reason. Iroh with dreads looks awesome, its diffrent but I like the new look. This trailer makes me want to see the movie immediately.

Looks like another Shyamalan movie for sure. how could u say that Spode? please explain why you think it will be just "another" Shyamalan movie. i believe this will be quite amazing considering how the actors sound and look and i don't see why people from racebending.com are sooooo pessimistic about it (that's right....cuz the characters aren't asian!)..how close are you going to get to the characters...honestly! if they made katara have FULL hairloopies she would look ridiculous! they took out the parts of Avatar that are overdramatized so it wouldn't end up like Dragonball Evolution!Can you really blame Shyamalan? Now he's not my favorite of directors... (he's probably one of my least fav) but i have high hopes for this movie because he didn't really make the base story line; all he's other movies...he did. That's why they weren't good! but anyyywayy i think the acting will be no problem (still worried about the special effects though) but Noah Ringer= perfect aang IMO!

Well, one things for sure, I'm much happier with the bending from this trailer.... I had my doubts from the first one, but this looks pretty good, except that I think the pace of the battles are going to be slower then the battles in the show. As for Katara, I'm less concerned about her now, but I still think that the person playing her should have been a year or two older.... she just doesn't look fourteen.

LOL, she looks really weepy. I just hope we get action! Katara and not "ohh, the world's so bad, and I'm so sad" Katara. Seriously, in most of the shots, girl is crying. It's like "The Ember Island Players" version of her.

I'm pretty sure, by the looks of the trailer we're gonna get the overprotective, nurturing season 1 katara...not so much bending kick-a** season 3....but it wouldn't hurt if they showed some pwn-age on her part.

(Sorry if this comes off mean, but..) It's not just because the actors "aren't asian." It's because casting for the main characters were in favor of using caucasian actors from the start. Heck, Shyamalan said in an interview that he wouldn't make the movie without Peltz as Katara, so right from there Sokka has to match her, as well as any other lead Water Tribe characters. If it wasn't for Jesse McCartney's "scheduling conflicts," most of the Fire Nation would probably be caucasian as well. As for Katara's hair loopies looking ridiculous in real life.... Personal opinions aside, it is an authentic Inuit hair style. A ton of Katara cosplayers have rocked the look as well. If Sokka can keep his shaved sides, why can't Katara keep the loops? As for the movie, hasn't Shyamalan said he's taking out much of the silly fun and making it more serious? If anything, it might become overdramatic by being too dramatic all of the time. But I haven't seen DBZ:E, so I may be misunderstanding what you mean. Anyway. Trailer-wise, the special effects are pretty nice. Makes me wonder if Appa will look like Appa or the new toy version, though.

PS:...it wouldn't hurt to see DBZ:E to get what i'm talking about by overdramatized..lol

PS:...it wouldn't hurt to see DBZ:E to get what i'm talking about by overdramatized..lol The Racebending community isn't monolithic; I've seen a number of people who were conflicted because if it weren't for the racebending and other changes, this would be a movie they'd really want to see. Even my heart skipped a beat when I saw the CG Appa in the trailer corner. But for others, pretty packaging can't hide the knowledge of poorly made choices and the released/leaked movie changes; stir in personal opinions on the acting, designs, and overall serious mood of the trailers, and there you go. =/ Hiring people who look/are the ethnicities of fictional characters isn't racist, anymore than hiring a British kid to play Harry Potter is. But having an entire village played by people of color, and having the two hero characters from said village be played by white actors "pretending" they are people of color, is racist and unfortunately has a loooooong history of happening in Hollywood. Even if the casting was done so that the actors actually looked like the characters they were playing, they wouldn't all be Asian. There'd be a lot of First Nations too, as well as a number of others. If Twilight can make the effort to hire Native American actors for the movie roles, why couldn't Airbender make a similar effort? That's part of what the movement's all about. But I'm not offended by your opinions, and I hope you're not offended by mine. We all have our own way of seeing things. As for DBZ:E... I'll try to watch it if it ever airs on tv. xD;; Anyway, sorry to spoil the party. ^^;

I'm trying not to watch this trailer yet - hoping to see it on the big screen for the first time. I always find that I get more excited about movies when I see the first full trailer at the movies. ^_^ The race issue as a whole doesn't bother me too much, but the white Katara and Sokka with the rest of the Water Tribe does. That's ridiculous. They all have to be the same. And I never noticed the lack of hair loopies till someone pointed it out. That's so sad.
