The cast isn't that bad, guys. The answer lies behind the fact that these people are going to be cast for the Season-3 Episode, Ember Island Players.
That's the answer!
(Now use this thread to vent your negative energies about the cast into a more positive way as why we don't have the cast we want.

Cmon, Horyo! That puppet playing Zhao showed real star potential and talent! He would definitely be easier for Noah Ringer to wave about in one hand than Aasif Mandvi!

I feel The Ember Island Players will be a better adaptation than this...
I'm sure it'll be a passable movie...but it hasn't a hope of meeting the extremely high Avatard expectations...heck...even Mike and Bryan disappointed a lot of us!

Mike and Bryan have proved once again they are the ultimate trolls. They trolled the Zutarians which I have a feeling if in the same room with Shyamalan would equal double lulz. But they even trolled the movie before it was even released with, "The Ember Island Players". They said so on the commentary.

Zuko: That… wasn’t a good play.
Aang: I’ll say.
Katara: No kidding.
Suki: Horrible.
Toph: You said it.
Sokka: But the effects were decent.
And I actually agree with Sokka...in real life the staging used would have been pretty cool.

^^ While I appreciate certain safety issues, it riles me up a little that they didnt use actual fire-bending in the stage performance in light of the fact that wed already seen stage performers use firebending previously with considerable skill in "The Deseter.". Or maybe Pu On Tim watched "The Happening" for inspiration. Who knows?
