Nothing yet on the three animated movies supposedly coming later this year to hold anticipation for the live action one? Why does it seem like there are always an animated counterpart to that of a live action one?

Isn't that picture really outdated or is it a new one? I never heard that Mike and Bryan confirm that they wouldn't happen though. I was holding out for Zutara there.

Johane Matte (AKA Rufftoon) said the Nick comics were not allowed to go beyond the season three finale...maybe there's a reason for that...

I remember hearing that Mike and Bryan confirmed that those would not happen. After the finale I lost all respect for Mike and Bryan.

After the finale I lost all respect for Mike and Bryan. In that you are not alone...but it was their 'antics' at SDCC that really made me quite dislike them. It was hurtful and uncalled for.

^^Was that the Book 4 Air thing? I can never keep the Comic Cons straight. But anyways I would be wicked pumped for anything more of Avatar. That would be amazing.....

Yes...yes it was...I found it totally offensive...and I don't even support the couple (or rather the people who do support said couple) they mocked so cruelly...but I support the people who do.
They probably lost a lot of their movie audience with that little stunt...

If you say so. I personally really enjoyed the finale, and the SDCC short was funny for me. People in the fandom can go insane over their ships, and if they are going to overreact to a little good-spirited joke about them then I don't think those are the kind of fans M&B want. Devoted, sure, zealous, no.

So...because I was offended (and remember I'm NOT a shipper) I'm not deserving of their time? Nice...
Well...then I guess their not deserving of mine...
And I don't think it was 'good' spirited...anything that makes a lot of people angry can't be good. And it was hardly a one-off offence...

I also am impartial to ships, so that last part of the finale didn't faze me. It was humorous and I could see what they were trying to do, but again, it's their material, and the people who took the shipping far beyond what it should have been ("If M&B don't let [insert ship] happen, I'm going to $%#$#%$%^$^ them up). Too bad they weren't willing to take the same shot at other crazy-ships, then it would have seemed more balance.
And if anything, I doubt they lost that many people. Avatar was more than about relationships, and I was disappointed in finding out that the minishorts we wanted were not coming.

But the thing is...not all the Zutara fans were like that...in fact, given the number I'm online buds with, very few of them were. They knew their ship wasn't going to happen, they were fine with it. But Mike and Bryan's antics hurt ALL of them...and offended non-shippers like myself...
But yeah...I watched it for the magic kung-fu...the romances were an unwelcome distraction...so I simply don't watch the romance-heavy episodes.

nandireya: Well, if you are a non-shipper, what reason have you to be offended? My point is that overzealous shippers (to the point of "I'll write this fanfiction where Aang and Mai DIE so Zutara can happen!") are not the kind of fans M&B want. I don't believe that the vast majority of fans and shippers are like that, though.
Horyo: Well, there were other ships mentioned in the video ("AzulAang FOREVER!!!")
