I wonder if they'll do more open auditions for possibly other characters. I could pull off Song fairly nicely. ):
-- though I have a feeling she wouldn't be in it. D: Booo.

oh my god, that script was really bad lol. I thought it would be a little better. idk whats going on though xD One thing that's important to point out is that those audition sides (short scripts) typically are not and do not represent the final script in anyway. I've seen some people going nuts over the Last Airbender ones there. They are usually used solely as simple dialogue fodder to help gauge the kind of performance that an audtioner can deliver. Most often it won't be a scene or lines from the final shooting script for two important reasons: 1. The people auditioning can easily leak what they read from the sides as spoilers. That's very unprofessional, but it can happen. In this case, the sides where actually distributed online to start with, which I think is by itself a solid argument that it won't be a scene in the final script. 2. The people listening to the auditions (often the casting director, producer, and director) will have to listen to this scene 10,000 times (or for however many people apply) and I've been told many times how sick they can get of a scene. LOL So a scene that will never be filmed for real or dialogue that's close but not at all intended to be used in the final film is substituted. Just watch the auditions for the young Anakin in the Phantom Menace DVD extras. They played the scene where Padme meets him in the junk shop for the first time. The scene was real, the dialogue being spoken was close, but the final lines used in the film were very different. Although with that movie, no changes to the script seemed to keep that film from sucking. XD So who knows?

You're 4' foot 8"? You look older and taller in the pics you showed to us. I'm 5'1"! SAME AS TOPH WOOT WOOT AND 4 IN. SHORTER THAN AZULA. There's no way Toph is 5' 1". For that to be true, the rest of the gAang would stand over six feet tall. The height given in the commercial was a typo. Where are you getting 5' 5" for Azula? She's only 5' 0" ( the topknot doesn't count ), according to the only official documentation of her height. You're actually an inch taller than her. Cartoons always distort character size. Azula looks way taller, kinda hard to believe that she is 5'0" THAT SO WIERD!!!

I could easily play as Sokka. Lame jokes that I laugh at and always hungry. I even have a sister thats two years younger than me. My favorite line to perform would be "I'm really glad I bought this bag,...it matches the belt perfectly."

Why only Aang? Minor characters need love, too! D: They better choose someone that's good and that wouldn't let me fall asleep while watching the movie. Seems they're going to have to shave the guys head.

sadly.. i don't have the physical appearance of any of the characters... maybe if i lost about 30 lbs i could pull off a mean Yue!...although i'd be an excellent Toph.. just with light hair but i have her sassy remarks and attitude.

hmmmm, I don't look like him but I'd be one kickass sokka. I guess I can get my ears shrunk and get tanned though. Meat, put downs for everyone including myself, being a bafoon, being a smart bafoon, having my life seem comic, all things I'm used to. Plus if there would be any tokka the movie would be heaven on steroids . But I might try a little hard and come off overdramatic. plus, while I have more power over my face than most people, I have no clue what my face looks like so an angry glare can turn out resembling what would happen if you poured acid into Hitler's eyes and I was about to start laughing.

Kewl, casting calls. I wouldn't want to be a main or even secondary character, even though I like to imitate Azula. Scary.
But being an extra would be lots of fun, too bad they're probably not shooting anywhere remotely near me.
And I personally don't wanna see any Avatar fanatics in the movie, sorry if I offend. Maybe I worry because some fans will decide they know better than the artistic directors and take it into their hands.

i think they will have auditions for other char. right now they are looking for an aang, after al the movie comes out in like, 2 years (2010). m. night said that all the characters (or atleast the major char.) will be acted by normal teens. i just hope that the movie itself is played by people who actually look like the characters in real life. be kinda wierd to see a katara with lite skin (no offence to you people with lit skin, i am not saying it is bad, just wierd to see katara with lite skin.)
