Simple question. What was your favorite two part episode of Avatar, and what makes it your favorite? They're all so awesome, I can't decide.

Definitely between SotN and Guru/CoD. I went with SotN. I don't know why, it was just gut feeling. Loved them both though.
The other 6 options are episodes that I don't like watching as much. I get the chills even thinking about having to watch an hour of Boiling Rock. I didn't mind it at first, but I think it's horrible now.

My favorite is Seige of the North. The battle was just so epic, and it feel rushed like some action scenes do. I also liked the Spirit World/Koh part of the episode. Overall SotN is one of my favorite episodes, and defintely my favorite two parter.
The Guru and Crossroads of Destiny is also really good, it was nice that they showed that sometimes the good guys don't always win. I also really like Winter Soltice, especially the Avatar Roku part, I thought that was really neat, especially when I look back and see how early in the series it is.

I loved Boiling Rock. We got to see Suki in action and there was a prison riot.

The Storm and The Blue Spirit. I know they're not on the list, but there's a 'To be continued...' between them, therefore they're a two part episode The Storm shows just how much alike Aang and Zuko are...and The Blue Spirit has cool Aang/Zuko teamwork and...well...the Blue Spirit...

I'm a big fan of The Secret of the Fire Nation after The Fury of Aang. I just like these two story that in are actaully a four part together.

Well, first off, all of them are awesome besides The Fury Of Aang. That was just okay.
My favorite would have to be DOBS because it had everything I wanted: action, Kataang, Zuko turning over to the good side and confronting his father, Info about Ursa, Zuko redirecting lightning, and more action.
However, The Guru / The Crossroads Of Destiny comes close behind because it was just so shocking, epic, and suspenseful.

Yeah, I've kind of thought the same thing. They may not be treated like a two-parter episode, but probably could qualify. There's more holding them together plot-wise than Secret of the Fire Nation's halves. They're definitely two of the best episodes from season 1, and probably the whole show. After thinking it over... I gotta go with SotN. I just love the whole epic plot, and the battle. The only other Avatar episode to have a large, detailed battle was DoBS, and I think SotN's battle was better. Runners up: TG/CoD and DoBS.

I'd have to go with SotN. I loved the episode altogether. After seeing TG/CoD, I really didn't like it all that much. The only other one that could come close to second place was DoBS. I'm not all that fond of it either. Aang bluffed big time. I wonder just how the confrontation with Ozai would have been.

I like the way you think nandi!!! Those two are two of my all time favs! And yea, The Blue Spirit rocks.......I miss him! How come we never gota Blue Spirit smilie? That would make me Ok on the subject now............I can't choose! SoTN, TBR and DoBS are all so awesme, I just can't decide. Ok so I'm gonna watch them all again and then I'll be back to choose. SoTN is just plain awesome, DoBS has Zuko redirecting lightening, and TBR has Hakoda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Too hard, must re-watch and then decide.

@dragonfly- I finally had to choose SotN. I watched it, DoBS, and TBR before I saw this poll. Yay Hakoda! Too bad he didn't show up in SotN. That would have perfected that ep.
All in all, it was a hard decision.

As for the fight, I have a feeling Aang would have been nailed with lightning in that small space.

He had at first said that he was ready for the fight with Ozai before DoBS. Having told Sokka and Toph that he had mastered the avatar state with Guru Pathik in CoD. He finally admitted to himself and the others that he had in fact not. Before that admission, he had been filling himself with mock confidence. I think he deep down may have known that he'd be smoked in a battle with Ozai, but on the surface he thought he was ready.

Telling Sokka and Toph that he had mastered the Avatar State had nothing to do with claiming he could face Ozai. In fact, he was incredibly unconfident in preparing for the battle, as "Nightmares and Daydreams" shows. On the DoBS, he was more ready, to the point that Sokka and Toph had to talk Aang out of facing Ozai once the eclipse was over.
Which I think was a good thing, because judging by that bolt Ozai threw at Zuko, Aang and Ozai's fight wouldn't have lasted long.
