John Elway and Dan Marino....and I don't even keep up with it... I am sure when everything is said and done he will be a shoe in (sure in? hm ) for the Hall of Fame, but for now he is - relatively speaking still a grasshopper!

Open letter to fans:
Why do you care so much about sports? I mean, liking something as entertainment and getting involved in the intricacies of it is cool and all, but liking it enough to take "insults" to your favorite player/team personally and getting ANGRY about it is mentally challenged.
I like WoW, and I guarantee you I've spent more time playing it in the last 2+ years than you have spent watching/thinking about professional sports but I don't give a crap when someone says it sucks. Why? Because I'm not emotionally attached to it like you apparently are to some football player.
You're seriously getting angry because someone insults your team of steroid enhanced felons who get paid millions of dollars to run into other felons. Sure you may find it entertaining but it's about as inconsequential as an activity can be. No matter how many yards those sweaty men run before being tackled by another ape there's still going to be problems in the world. Football isn't going to help anything at all ever. It's not worth expending the effort getting RAGED at people who diss whichever player you're gay for.

well, calling them felons is a bit harsh. Actually defamatory - to most. Naturally there are others.
But it's missing the point!
First VP can post here about this sports guy getting hurt. BTW the pictures make me GRINGE!
The rest can either post in a respectful manner - even disagree - or STFU and post someplace else. Simple, yes?
It is true there is a similar thread in sports, but that does not mean it has to be banished from OGB, and a little exposure to other things then trivial dirt is not gonna hurt y'all either, and even if this individual owns all the money in the world, I don't think anybody in their right mind ought to rejoice about his injury.
Fascination sport.... well, Grandi got me there. I don't know. I am sure it reaches back to the Roman Gladiators. A sense of 'thank goodness it's not me' to 'WOW did you see him do that!'
The deal is, there are rules to make social interaction possible. Everybody lives by them, we have no problem. One way is not to make aggravating remarks, and the other not to respond to any of those.
And the biggest, MOST important one, don't step on Grangran's toes when she is not in a good mood. Tha could proof bad for your well being!

Oh, Tom Brady. I was like, "Tom?" ... Yeah, that sucks, first game of the season, and he's done. But it's not like he's gone for good, right? I mean, with as short as the football season is, he could possibly be back in time for training camp, the beginning of next season at the latest. I'm hardly one to talk about sensitivity and appropriateness of comments, but that was seriously uncalled for. It's one thing to dislike the Patriots, but seriously? That was a little much, even by my standards. Thanks man, I appreciate it. Okay? I wasn'treally trying to defend anyone's opinions. I was just calling out a person who was being a bigger jerk at that moment than I usually am. But I mean what I said to him. He didn't have to say that just to get the point that he doesn't like the Patriots across. ... But I'm probably misreading your statement, aren't I? And let's not forget Troy Aikman on the list of those great QBs.

hows this for sensitivity or this P.S. Boston SPORTS KARMA IS A B**CH Yeah man, the best quarterback in the history of the NFL in his prime getting crtically injured is SO funny man!! We all know anyone who shows exceptionall talen deserves to get injured because KARMA LOL! I am a steelers fan. good god its seems you been around sports for less than a minute. yes it sucks for the season that Brady (who is going to be the best quarterback in history when he retires even i can admit that) is out, but the good side is now tha Pats will not be as good. and with brett Favre having a decent opener and the Bills Destroying the Seahawks, they might not even make it out of their division. don't be so sad, the dude is still making millions and will make more on commercials. and its karma for boston winning so many championships. if you play football your gonna get hurt every so often. Chill Out its just a joke.
