9-year-old barred for pitching too wellStories like these make me so mad. What they did to him was not fair. It'd be kind of cool if he got to play with older kids instead though. Either way, punishing a kid for being good at something is not cool, but he's REALLY good for a nine year old 0_0

Yeah. This country's in a place now where everything has to be "fair" and "equal", so if someone like this kid shows up, we have to keep everything "fair" for others by not allowing him to play.
It's stupid.

Hmm, sounds a lot like Dash from the Incredibles.
Now time for that kid to become the ultimate evil who spends his entire life plotting his revenge on that school!

Hehe, I was actually talking about this at dinner last night with my 10 year old cousin (who plays baseball). He was saying that balls go faster than that after they're hit so it shouldn't matter. (and he didn't think the speed was only 40 mph -- according to him it must have been 60 mph because he's been timed at 42 mph)
And, as I pointed out, they have helmets anyway, right? XD

We use to do this math relay thing in elementary school where there would be a sheet full of problems like 6x9= and you would do one problem, and pass it to the next person. My class won every week because we were the only GT class, so i think after the third week or so, we weren't allowed to win. I was mad about it, but I guess that was more fair because we were being taught above level while everyone else was on level, but there's no "levels" in little league. He needs to join a middle school team and show those boys up.
and yeah DBA, 40 sounded really really slow.

That's such a postive and pacifist thought....-______-
honestly, i hope something col comes out it. like he ends up becoming an amazing major league baseball player, or at least gets to pwn some older kids.
maybe he could RAISE UP THE NAME OF BASEBALL in one of the olympics like michael phelps "raised up the sport of swimming"

Wow. All so the opposing team doesen't have to hear these character building words...
"You lost <ubiquitus minor league sports team animal>s. You lost."
No no no! Not only do they want to balance everything out (removing all strategy from the sport, in fear of having the good players removed), but when a team DOES lose, they get to hear this
"Everyone was winners no matter what the score says! Hugs all around! Who wants sno cones?"
No. If you have a lower score (or higher, in golf), you LOST!!! LOST!!! THE PERSON(S) WITH THE HIGHER (lower, in golf), WON! STOP STOKING YOUR OWN EGOS AND LET IT HIT YOU ALREADY!
Y O U L O S T!
And this guy, because to made other kiddies feel bad (you notice they didn't care about the children on his team, now THEY feel bad), by doing what he was told to do (WIN!), he got kicked.
I'd pull the legal card. Sounds like typical american, but it's warrented in here. I might have even whipped out the rule book and asked officials to point out exactly where it says that a player will be booted if he has a high win margin.
Then they would say that word. The P word. You guessed it, policy. Policy policy policy. All about the policy.
"Well, it's our policy that all teams get a fair chance to win"
Yes. They did. But they didn't win. They had a fair chance, but they lost.
"That pitcher threw the odds in his teams favor. That's unfair"
Every player changes the odds either for or against thier team. For this not to occur, all players would have to be exact clones. This is not possible, so in all cases, one team will have better odds than another. Are you saying that all players who make their team's odds better should be cut? That makes no sense at all.
"Well, we have our policies, and we really can't deviate from them"
Really? I thouhgt this was supposed to be a fun activity. Fun activities usually don't have policies against being good at the activity
"Well, we need to make it fair for all of the other teams"
It was perfectly fair.
"No, that child was making it unfair"
That child was good at the activity.
"He was making it unfair, as well, and we need to make it fair for all other teams"
The other teams had a chance. The child was a good pitcher against them. They lost.
"And he was making it unfair for the losing team"
What if teams coninually beat this team? Would that be fair? Or would star players have to be removed from those teams?
"It was in the leagues best interest"
They will avoid the question each and every single time.
Sickening.
