I've been looking to get a penpal for a few years and I think I've finally convinced my parents to let me look for one. I've narrowed the world down to a few countries I'd be interested in writing to but I can't decide on just one.
So, which country do you think would be the most interesting to get a penpal from?
I chose Spain and Italy because I find their culture and what not pretty cool, especially after being in language classes for the past two years (now coming on three). South Korea is also on my list because part of my blood comes from there. Hooray for being Asian!!!

I would say Korea. Spain and Italy are pretty much the same as ours just, you know, older.
Korea is awesome.

Same as ours? You mean the countries are similar to the US?

Yeah. Most of Italy's interesting history can be summarized by Rome and Mussolini. Korea's really interesting, and I would suggest you look into that.

Korea. I think it'll be a more interesting experience. And I'm not being biased here.

Korea would definitely be a cool place to find a penpal. Like CK said, Italy and Spain aren't that much different than the US, culturally speaking.
Or you could always choose some random country, like the United Arab Emirates.

Italy, who kicks more @$$ than rome??? Best civilization EVA!! And I think Italy invented pasta sauce (china invented the noodles). And just the fact that Italian dressing is connected to Italy in any way makes it better than most countries in existence..........yum.........dressing.................*drools*

I would also go with Korea. Spain and Italy are pretty cool too. But theres is just something about Korea and its culture that seems more appealing. Plus your say you have Korean blood so it would give you a chance to learn more about where your ancestors came form.

I'd say Thailand. I know that's odd, but I've met a lot of people from Thailand and they are just extremely friendly and sweet! XD And their culture is great - so is their food!

I like European culture myself, but if you're looking for someone you could learn about things 100% different from what you usually know South Korea is a good choice.
