Hello, Chibi is back from Floriduh!!! I have some pics for ya, some drawn by me and some taken by a camera!! BTW, I got back at 5 this morning. My internal clock has been thrown off so much......
But let's do the boring reading part first.... So, me and my family left last Saturday morning for Kissimee, FL, which is a suburb of Orlando. We went by a car and it took a good 20 hours of driving just to get there. I HATE CARS NOW. >.< I sat in the backseat the whole time with my demonic sister. I passed the driving time by drawing some stuff, mainly some OCs of mine. I got my sis hooked on Avatar so we watched the season two boxset on the portable DVD player we brought. I also got her hooked on The Swan Princess. I LURVE THAT MOVIE!!!! ^^ If I wasn't drawing or watching a movie, I'd play FireRed. I'm stuck on the Elite Four. >< I got to sneak in some Gladiator movie time for myself after my sis fell asleep. : ) God, I love the emperor.....
We stayed at the Howard Johnson hotel in Kissimee. It had free WiFi but it didn't work for us very well. My mom borrowed a laptop from a friend of hers. The only problem with the laptop was that it had to be a good 10+ years old. It didn't connect with the WiFi. I managed to get on MSN messenger for a minute before I got kicked off, but that was the closest we had to an Internet connection in FL. I tried using a hotel comp but the other guests hogged all the comps. I only got to make one post here on DH. I had the chance to watch a YouTube vid of the top ten winners for the Avatar fanart contest at the SDCC. All I have to say is.... I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T PLACE. At least the hotel's heated pool made up for the lack of Internetz.
So, now for some pics from the journey from OK to FL!!! My dad changed his mind at last minute and we went south along the Gulf of Mexico for our trip to FL. I passed through Arkansas (the dullest state in the US) and Lousiana, which is where I met this cool French guy!! XD We drove through Baton Rouge, New Orleans (my cam screwed up so I didn't get any pics), Mobile, Alabama, and through the Florida panhandle. I didn't realize that FL was so long. >.< Kissimee had a lot of interesting buildings, like the magic shop, Orange World, and the Avatar Advantage. XD
Now for Disney pics!! I went to Animal Kingdom the first day. It was basically one giant zoo so I thought I kind of got ripped off there. -_- I didn't get to go on Expedition Everest, which I heard is the best part of the park. I did get a pic with this cool Chinese guy. I was taken by surprise at the amount of foreigners at Disney!!! Being from OK, a dull state in the middle of nowhere, I was so fascinated by this!! I heard several different tongues just standing in the lines for the attractions. Asian, Russian, Indian, South American, Canadian, European.... There were so many ethnic groups there!!! I luffed it~!!! When we went out in Kissimee to eat out, we had foreign waiters and waitresses, too. We had several Russian waiters and a Czech waitress at IHOP.
The second day was when we went to Magic Kingdom, which was SO much better than Animal Kingdom. TIME FOR CHARACTER PICS!!!! Here's me an' Jiminy Cricket (pardon my ugliness and the sideways view)!!!! I was sad because I was hoping to get pics with more characters. Unfortunately for me, the lines for pictures were like 2 hours long. I didn't want to wait that long so I went without them. My sis got a pic with Jiminy Cricket, too, but she was scared of him. She stood like 5 feet away from him and then ran as soon as the camera went off. The guy in the JC suit made a sad face. XD Me and my family stayed for the fireworks at the castle. It was a good display. I kind of regretted staying that late, though. Nearly half the park left after the fireworks were over and it took us an hour of standing in line to get to our car. -_- SO MANY PEOPLE. I've never seen so many people or done so much walking in my life.
The last day at Disney was spent at Hollywood Studios. The rides were pretty fun and I got to go to the animation studios portion. If any of you really know me, you know that I'm a big artist type gal. I got a poster with fifty different Disney character movies and I learned how to draw Pluto!! He's a bit crooked, though..... The artist lady who showed us the drawing process liked my linework. ^_^
Our final day in Florida as a whole was spent at Clearwater Beach, off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. But the beach kind of sucked because we were only there for like maybe 30 minutes before we got wind-driven rain pelted at us. Really, that rain shower HURT!!! We had to ride home wet, salty, and sandy. Before it started raining, though, the sea was fun to swim in. The wind made the waves nice and big. I got dunked a few times and learned the hard way how disgusting sea water tastes. God, the salt water made me gag. Hurt my eyes, too. >_<
The ride home was 20 hours, too. We drove all the way through, only stopping for gas and bathroom breaks. We pulled through fast food joints for, of course, food. On the ride to FL, we stopped at a hotel and had nice sit-down dinners. We wanted to go home so we just made a beeline for it. We were more northern bound on the way back. We went through Georgia, up to Memphis, TN, and followed the highway back to OK. I'm still tired out from the drive back. I can't believe I got back at 5 this morning. It feels like it's been longer than that since we got back.
But yes, that was my trip. Now for pictures from Chibi's sketch book!!!! Everyone's favorite part of the trip memoirs is the sketch book!!! (Please comment on at least one of them. XD)
-This is a pic of a pairing that me and my friend made with our OCs. We call it.... MATTHYA (Matthew and Aya). Matthew is my OC (he's the one in front, if you couldn't tell) and Aya is my friend's OC.
-This is a random Avatar person. The season finale refueled my love for Avatar. I drew this as I was watching the season two boxset. I can't decide which nation she is. Her clothes look Earth Nation-ish but her pose looks more like the Water Tribe.... All that aside, I love how this came out. I don't draw full body poses very often.
-Here's another OC of mine. Her name is Megami. ^^ I guess this can be considered full-body but yeah. I've been experimenting with poses and I came up with this all on my own. ^_^ I'm so proud of myself!!
-Here's Megami again, but in a different style I'm trying out. The only real diff is her eyes. XD
-More OCs!! Meet Matthew (which you've already seen) and Alex!! Alex is emo and Matthew is overly giddy, but they're still good friends. I was in a happy mood when I drew this. FRONT VIEW PHAILS
-Alex and Matthew again, in a very weird pose. My pose drawing didn't work so well here. I can't even tell what they're doing..... XD Matthew is trying to seduce his Alex-muffin with his fake smiles. Mwahahahahahaaa
-This is Alex's girlfriend. Can't you tell they're together? XD I just started drawing her character design so this definitely ain't the final pic of her. I want her to look less stereotypical. XD
-And last but not least, a personal favorite of mine. Matthew and Alex at the beach. Chibis FTW (or else they eat you in your sleep). I just realized that I forgot to put the ugly watermark/signature on this picture. Oh well.
Chibi Chan is signing off, and she'd like you all to know that she fangirls for Phil Collins. GOOD DAY.
P.S. If you truthfully read through all this, I give U karmaz. This is totally not a bribe.
