I'm in the search for a new keyboard, because my old one is a 60-something key piece of junk well... old. I'm in the search for an 88-key digital keyboard with a really good sound, and hopefully weighted keys. Does anyone know which is good and somewhat reasonable in price?
I'm looking at you Akash.

LYK OMFGZ THIS IS A RANDOMZ TOPICSSSSSSSZZSZSZS!!!!! L&TZZZZ!!!! L&TZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!
Nah, but I've never been happier with my Yamaha Portatone. Any Yamaha keyboard is good. Get the features you like, and the DJ board is always nice. The more instrumental boards you get, the better, and MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) ports are a MUST!!!!

Well, I have a Kurzweil Mark 2 digital piano. It has 88 keys, and it's really basic... It only has three other sounds besides "grand piano." The keys are weighted, and there are two pedals. It also has a headphone jack, which is nice. I think I got it for around a thousand bucks, but that was a long time ago and I think it is discontinued now.
I also have a small Yamaha keyboard which is awesome. It doesn't have 88 keys, though :\
But definitely get a digital. It saves you money. Even if it doesn't have 88 keys, it may be able to transpose so you will be able to hit all the notes.
For pricing, it depends on where you buy it. There could be some nice piano stores in your area, but even big stores like Best Buy sell them. Look for sales and such. You can get a smaller Yahama for a few hundred bucks, and a big digital one for around a thousand. I know, it's still expensive, but it's better than spending tens of thousands of dollars on a real piano.

The Yamaha I've got has over 200 instruments... and it was purchased at the dawn of the new millennium (2001, there was no year "0")
So I figure the ones now will have a llot more quality (and this one is awesone), SD ports for new instrumental boards/custom sampled boards, etc.

but real pianos are so much cooler!I never know brand names. I just like going to the store and trying them out [and pretending like i'm an interested customer so they don't kick me out]. My biggest thing besides weighted keys is always a music stand, but not many of them have those...@_@ I say look out for sales, especially at music stores that have gone bankrupt (best sale at H&H ever). I also like supporting local music stores too btw, LC, this is the GENERAL board for a reason...-_-"

Thanks guys, I'll use those suggestions. I actually found a piano in the newspaper for 400 bucks (yeah, 400), but I have to have it downstairs which just isn't gonna fly at midnight when I want to play. XD I always want to play late at night. XDDD So I'm looking into a keyboard that I can move around a little bit. XD
