And here we are, yet AGAIN a couple of parents choose to name their child some dumb@$$ name: news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080724/ap_on_re_au_an/new_zealand_bizarre_namesThis was so stupid, that the court claimed custody of the kid so that they could rename the child to a more sensible name. It's pretty coincidental, because the last thread I made of a case like this, the parents were from New Zealand. So are these. Coincidence, or phenomena?

Well New Zealand does outlaw potentially offensive names. Which is why me and my future baby, Professor Hitler McSatan, can't move there.

No, that's one of the names allowed apparently. I do think it's silly that parents would name their child something so... silly. I think that the Court did a good thing by allowing the girl to change her name because I would be embarrassed as well if I was stuck with a name like that

I'd like to give my kids weird names, but that's just too much. Just different names, not a sentence like Talula Does the Hula. One of the guys my mom graduated with had the last name Power. He named his kids Jet Power and Rocket Power. That's bad enough, but this is worse. DX

Not as bad as those stupid parents who wanted to name their kid 4Real. It's a kid, not a puppy. Can't you just see this boy trying to hit on a girl later: "Hey, I'm 4Real." 0.o;

It'd be funnier if his twin brother was named Serious.
4real "Wanna go out with me?" Girl "Hey, are you serious?" 4real "No, I'm 4real." Girl "That's not what i meant!"
I was kidding about the courtney thing XD

Horyo: Actually, I think Courtney can double as a boy name. Ashley is actually a unisex name too.

^Yeah my history teacher told us about that.
Cept it was a girl.
And I lol-ed at the 4real joke.
Yeah. Those parents were from New Zealand too.
And I think when the courts argued against it, they tried to name him "Superman".
Now if I had to name my kid after a comic superhero/villian,
it'd be one of the practically cool names.
Like "Venom"
or "Shadow Cat".
Or Black C. (the C standing for "Canary")
