I don't think Bryke meant The Ember Island Players to be mean to Zutarians. I think they just wanted poke fun at all shipping battles. I'm fairly sure there was no bad intent meant.

You're probably right goten. I feel kind of stupid now, but I was really really hoping Zutara had a chance, and hadn't really wavered at all until now. And I snapped. >.> This was the first episode where I thought "Zutara has no chance." Then started crying.  But tomorrow I will still believe in the Zutara! And if Kataang happens.....well let's not go there yet.  |

I don't know. I'm ashamed of myself when I say I'm pretty sure Zutara doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell, but I'm actually fine with that. Usually, if fanon becomes canon, it becomes lame. Besides, with it canon, we'd have nothing to write about!!! [/optimistic]

I don't know. She just came to nice terms with Zuko. I doubt she'd go from hating to crushing so fast.... Though I could be wrong. I believe it's probably more because of everything that is going on. The world's about to end and Aang's talking about DATING? I mean, c'mon kid. Work the timing! XD

I don't think it really had anything to do with Zuko, so much as it has to do with everything that is going on/going to happen. I mean, she knowingly is worried about what could happen to Aang/everybody, and if they got together now and then Aang died, she would probably be more heartbroken then if they weren't together. With that thought in mind, she knows that both her and (especially) Aang need to focus on what is most important...the war, right now romance could get in the way, and she knows that that is the last thing he needs right now is a distraction. So, she is probably putting whatever her feelings are, on the back burner...possibly thinking whether or not telling him how she really feels (whether good or bad) should be told now or later. |

Well, I'm sure deep down she wouldn't deny Zuko was cute - even with that horrid scar on his face. He's a good looking boy. So naturally, she'd feel a little awkward around him. I mean, Aang's the only boy outside her family that's she's been chummy with for a long time.

What is this!?!? I come back to this wonderful site called distanthorizons and I find that not only are the people that made these Catacombs/Hot Springs great, are gone, I find replacements that are complete imbeciles when they are thrown a bone of symbolism the size of the state of Texas. This doesn't deserve to be called a catacomb or a hot spring, it's a joke, sham and whatever synonym that I can't think of at the moment.
I come from a time when Zutara Hot Springs were flying by in as little as three days! with 50 pages or more each from the slightest Zutara symbols to new fanfics, episodes and comedic banter between a couple of the users and even when the response to the questionable symbolism didn't necessarily. People would try with all their power to come up with new posters, sigs, fanart, and any symbolism in the outside world, and bring it into the discussion. There would actually be intelligent arguements about whether if this clip is symbolism or not, how likely Zutara would be, how the series would play out, or even about things that had little reference to the pairing.
Where is all the enthusiasm, where is the passion! All I'm reading is a bunch of ignorant passerby supporters looking at the bare minimum and deciding that it isn't even worth the effort, instead you get the empty response of "I'll just right a fanfic or comic", or "well fanon is way better because if they got together then what would we write about!"
Just a few months ago the Zutara board had twice the amount of threads completed than the Kataang board, now that lead is down to less than twenty! This is less than the amount when the Zutara threads were completely blowing by every other shipping, while the War Rooms had reached 40! Yes 40, Kataang had the second most amount with like 18 or 20, every other pairing except for Sukka, and ZuJin, had only one.
Almost everyone now replying on this board isn't even a full supporter of Zutara and the only one who is supposedly a true Zutarian is ticked off at the very thing that gives Zutara even a chance. I'm not sure what your seeing that i'm not but to me and I would say almost every person from the old Hot Springs would say that this is the beginning of the end for Kataang.
Now I hardly read any of the posts because most of them are gibberish with nothing meaningful to say, no discussions, no symbolism, no new sigs or fanart, not anything with any substance.
I don't care if the mods delete this post or not it needs to be said, people like LunaChaos and clearsunrise, or Paraiba Ocean, or theweasleyboys, and trustno1, and even more I can't name were the people that made this thread what it was, ever since they left and the name changed, the topics have turned to crap
I'm sorry but if anyone did a little research on the old Hot Springs or if anyone remembers it, then you would know what I'm talking about. It is such a shame that those same people aren't with us to talk about it to disect the episodes and find symbolism just like in the old days.
