so this thing just started today. every time i click on something on the forum, a pop up comes up saying this:
''The server fallen-eminence.net at Restricted Area requires a username and password.
Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection).''
when i hit close, it closes but opens a second later. after hitting close like 10 times, it goes away until i click something else.
also, images arent being displayed now.
whats up?

you probably have a virus or fallen eminence are trying to get peoples passwords (i've never been on that site so i don't know what it is about)
but whatever you do DON'T ENTER YOUR PASSWORD
or you have a computer trojan, thinks that trick your computer or a tracking cookie, sumfin that tracks your stuff.
i'd report this to the website support or just leave the site before something bad happens.
HOPE THIS HELPED!

What site?!?!?
EDIT: That's HTACCESS... Completley normal, and very secure! Unless you are in the HTACCESS file, and if you don't know, you probably don't, there is no getting in there.
EDIT0: Yeah. Nothing wrong with it. The website is probably under new management, and I am trying to figure out if that is that case or not

Guys, just switch your layout to Fiery Summer. Its the only one that doesn't have anything hosted by Akash.

I can most certainly try and find those images on my cache, and put them on my site.

The actual site has been closed for months. It's not a recent thing.

I was trying to password protect my site because I was going to remodel it, but I guess I protected everything that I host...

Put the HTACCESS file in ONLY the directories that need protection.
Or, in the images folder, use an HTACCESS command that would force it to allow everythig.... I mgiht be able to hget the command here in a minute

hai guess wut, Cheney, he's hosted his site for a few years now and it's pretty sexy. Helping is fine, but your way of thinking you could do everything on DH better isn't.

Here.... I'm pretty sure that if you place a blank .HTACCESS file in the images folder, the server will read that instead of the global file for that directory.

The problem was the things in my main directory needed to be protected, but I just used my old method of creating a test section. And I will keep the blank .htaccess in mind for next time. Thanks!
