Because I need to update this thread with some actual Zuko/Jin:
See, there's just something about him that Jin finds alluring. She knows that Zuko's a Prince and most girls would find that one of the most attractive parts to their beloveds. However, Jin was, and never will be, one of those girls. She could take out a piece of parchment and name in a list a million things that she loved about him from the way he curls and uncurls his fingers just before he practiced his fire bending to the way he pushed back his black haired mane whenever he would get nervous.
Jin likes picking apart his many habits, traits and qualities and putting them together (whenever she thinks about her feelings for him) to come up with one, single image of him that she promised herself never to forget. It's not even a mirage that she created herself but rather an essence that he left behind. A mark, to remind her that he would always, no matter what come home to her and no one else.
Jin looks into the mirror for the first time after her marriage to Zuko, or should she say, Fire Lord Zuko. The red color of the royal Fire Nation family looked beautiful with her complexion, and the weight of the crown that signified her status as Fire Lady didn't feel as heavy as she thought it would.
She takes in a deep breath, watching herself do so, and then realizes that she never had any regrets to begin with. This was the life she wanted, she granted, if it meant being beside him.
Her finger traced the dry and rugged patch of skin on the side of his face. She noticed him wince for a second when her fingertip first made contact against the scar, but then he relaxed when she began caressing it as gently as she could.
"Does it, still hurt...?" She asks him in a low, hurt whisper.
She saw his eyes glance into hers and she swore that she was falling into some deep crevice, but she didn't care.
His lips part and that's when Jin took the chance to press her lips against his, lingering. "No," he says to her. "it doesn't hurt as much anymore."
Okay, I couldn't resist writing at least some Katara/Aang:
She hugged her knees against her chest as she watched a sleeping Aang. He looked much more peaceful than he did a couple of days ago. Katara couldn't blame him: they lost the battle of Ba Sing Se to the Fire Nation and who knows what else? Aang had been complaining about how he wasn't able to feel a connection with his past lives and how worried he was about whether or not they could really take on the Fire Lord to end the war.
For the first time during their journey she felt completely scared. She always believed that Aang was untouchable for some odd and unknown reason. Perhaps it was because there was just something inside of him that neither he nor she knew all that much about. Maybe it was because she always thought that Aang could never, ever lose. When she watched him fall after getting hurt by that evil Fire bender's hand she didn't know what to think anymore.
Katara felt as if her whole world was being destroyed piece by piece. She held him when he was dead, and she held him when she brought him back to life too. She knows it now more than ever that he's human and the thought scares her because she knows that someday, Aang will be taken away from her.
His memories, his whole essence, and everything else in between would eventually be taken away from her. She didn't want this nor did she wanted to think about it but she couldn't help but think this to herself as she kept guard tonight.
She sighed before extending her hand to place it on top of his. She curled her fingers and wrapped her hand around his, holding it tightly and assuringly, hoping that she's reaching to him now while he's asleep.
