I'm sorry but seriously "Victim ~*of *~Circumstances" but if your upset by
some of the reason like this:
daveshan.deviantart.com/art/My-AtLA-Ending-Analysis-92219658Then I seriously don't think you've appreciate the amount of dedication and work Bryan and Mike has put in this shows. Yes there were some major plot holes as I've mentioned in my first post, but some of those plot wholes were left open probably for future spin-off, other plotholes while I like resolved by the creators, know that they left it open for a reason, so the fan can fill in the the gaps to their liking.
Okay so I'l going to refute they Deviant Art guys arguement for some of the reason why he hated it:
2. No "has to let her go"Of course Aang didn't need to make sacrifice, what Guru Pathik showed Aang, was one of many approach to master the avatar state, it was the quickest way for Aang to become master the avatar state, but at a price that has to disconnect himself from the world. But like YungChen (Last Airbending Avatar), as a true avatar he can never disconnect himself to the world. Its like this there is more than one path to enlightenment, what works for one, might not work for others.
3. Aang not killing OzaiAre you kidding me?! I thought Aang made the right decide, he's a role model to little kid, he showed that that senseless violence isn't the answer. He found his own path, despite what many have told him, he listened to what was right in his heart, and in the end he found his own way to stop the firelord while still holding true to himself and his heart. I admire that. That's VERY mature.
4. Bending bendingWhat Tylee did, was merely block the flow of chi within certain part of the person's body temporarily immoblizing them, and preventing them from channeling their chi to certain aspect of their body to bend. Aang went one step further, and pretty much closed of Ozai's chakra (energy center), so that he'll never be able to bend again.
5. No DeathWhy should anyone die? Seriously guys, this isn't anime, its AVATAR. In the show, they have taught us many time that the path to violence is wrong, and killing is the worse thing one could possibly do. I don't think any character should die, whats the point if they do? It does advance the story or plot? If a main character were to die, Aang would go BERSERK, causing him to go into the avatar state for the wrong reason, I'd be like DBZ again, haha this contradict reason why you were angry.
Toph's and Tylee's crush on SokkaYou gotta be kidding me right? She's 13!! She had a crush with almost every guy in Gaang's group. Its just the flavor of the week, I mean she had a crush on Zuko towards the finale.
Dude thats not even relevant or important to the plot.
Aang never had to grow upAre you kidding me he grew up ALOT. He's no longer that timid little boy who runs away from his problem that we saw in the iceberg. He's a responsible young man, who stands up for what he believe in, and want nothing more than to make a world a better place, not some kid who what to go penguin sliding all the time.
Lion TurtleOkay you got me on the Lion Turtle....FOR NOW...I know there's more to him, I need to watch the finale again.
Why aang swam there? Well all Ican say he was in a deep meditative state, in subconscious knew that this Lion Turtle, whom I'm assuming was one of the oldest and probably wisest creature in the world. The reason why aang was able to swim there, is the same reason why he was able to find MOMO and APPA during during "The Swamp" he is connect to everything in the universe, he can find them, if he tunes his body.
Everyone just accepts ZukoNo, are you crazy? Zuko said it in his speech, that 100 years of war has scarred the world and seperated the 4 nations pretty badly. I'm sure some people still don't trust Zuko, but in time all wounds will heal, and I'm sure nothing like the pursuasion of the "OLD MASTERS" the most respected people in the world, to help put a few good words in for Zuko.
Zuko interrogates Ozai, then joins the Gaang for tea. UrsaThe only thing I found wrong about this was the awkward transition, I see no reason why he can't relax with his friend. He know his mother is out there somewhere, and he know he'll find her one day. It could be a time skip, and zuko found her before hand, we'll never know until SDCC. Granted I rather have this saga be over, but I realize this was Aang's story, his story is completed, but that still doesn't mean Zuko or Iroh's journey is complete. The who point of the series was to defeat the firelord, aang did it, and thats that.
Zuko never shoots lighteningNo but he can redirected it. I love the fact that Zuko can't shoot lightening just yet, it makes humanize his character, in the sense that he's just like us, he has his own strength and weakness, and I really respect his character because he isn't some over powered prodigy like some members of Gaang. I'm sure in due time he'll probably master it, when he feels that he is mentally ready enough to do so or when the time is right. I mean he the reason why Zuko couldn't create lightening before was because he mind was clouded and in conflict. I believe that now that his mind is clear, I think he'll be able to do it. Maybe Ursa is the last piece of the puzzle for him, who knows.......
Zuko's scarIt part of his character, I wouldn't have it anyway. That scar represented his banishment, his journey, his hardship, his revelation. Taking his scar away, is taking everything he's become now.
What? I'm going to be honest. No way does this finale deserve a 4/10, it is far better than any season finale I've seen. Yes there are major flaws and poor decision, but reason like those above aren't them. (OKAY CEPT THE URSA ONE)
