^^ What series is that? The Brothers Grimm? Come on, guys! It would have been way to convenient if they tied up every lose end in the space of a year (I think thats the length of time that supposed to have passed in the series.). We always suspected that Ursa's appearance in the mirror was Azula losing it so its no surprise we dont see her at the end. If she had shown up to watch Zuko's coronation with Mai and Iroh, it would have been way too much of a "And they all lived happily after" moment for even a kid to stomach.

If you must know Doctor Who ties its loose ends just fine and one season is only 13 episodes! Granted each ep was at least 44 minutes. Same goes for The Dresden Files and if we're talkin' anime there's Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Le Chevalier Deon!>.>
Speaking of Le Chevalier Deon it wrapped up everything nicely in only one season which was like 24 eps. This is why I said this:

Rurouni Kenshin did the same (the manga did anyway).
And it only need three arcs to do so (Unlike some OTHER Shonen Jump titles *cough!cough!*).
Hey! Cliffhangers are a great thing. Cuz half of the time they tell you that they will conclude it eventually. Or if they don't, the cliffhanger is the kind that you can guess about, depending on the atmosphere and all.
But this one was kinda wierd. And, Mike and Bryan said no fourth season. Unless rumors of an animated sequel are true.
The Koh thing kinda bugged me, ane that did bring up a good point. But then again, when Aang first met Koh, he was talking to him like "The Avatar", not just "Avatar Aang". So, he probably meant that he would be meeting his next reincarnation someday...

I think they left it open for options....because let face facts, making a show like this is hard work and who know if people really want to continue with the story or the brand...I'm fine with it and maybe we can make our own journey for this.

I just think the wish fulfiment aspect is a bit too high. The main plot was always about Aang saving the world. B plot issue like Zuko's mom did not have to be completed within the story frame and the scene with Zuko questioning his dad gave a good enough indication what Zukos next adventure will be. It would be have been too fairy tale like if every single point was addressed to the extent some fans seem to require. I like the idea of "Always leave them wanting just a bit more."

Oh yeah... the Ursa thing. I forgot about that. Hmm, yeah. It's almost like they forgot to tell us. Like it seroiously seemed like a writing slip-up! That's pretty funny!!

about the Ursa thing. With Zuko visiting his father to interview him about his mothers past and the creaters putting so much emphasis on it makes me wonder if we get a finishing movie or something. Would be quite nice if you'd ask me.

I admit, the finale was absolutely EPIC in the way it was done...but I too would love to know where Ursa is. Zuko goes and asks Ozai and then...NOTHING. We hear nothing else of Ursa. I do also think they should make a 4th book! But I heard rumors that the creators of Avatar were going to make an Iroh spin-off...or maybe I'm just hearing things.

Oh man, if we get a spinoff/sequel/whatever out of this, it will have been totally worth the lame cliffhanger. Come on, SDCC! =O

I can't believe they did that. I was expecting total closure on everything, all neat and tidy. I had forgotten Ursa the whole time and then . After that, I think it's a good sign that we'll get something new. I cannot wait till SDCC.

I really think it was wrong to end the series with that HUGE qeustion left unanswered. Zuko's search for his mother was supposed to be a part of season three. Just sticking it on the end like that, leaving it as a cliffhanger on a series that ended is wrong. Especially when they knew that is wasn't going to continue.
About Koh, I don't think he really meant meeting Aang again in the series. I'm not even sure he meant meeting Aang himself again. After all, their last meeting had taken place three Avatar lifetimes ago. Since Koh seems to have eternity to wait. It's a certainty that the Avatar will meet him again.
