Genocide Heaven: yet again, you seem to suggest to me that you watch a different show then the rest of us.
Iroh took out, eight of Zaho's guards in a second, a mini army of azula's in the first episode of S1, azula herself after redirecting her lightening, can bend lightening himself, can shoot large ammounts of fire from his mouth, and can use martial arts to pwn the rough rhinos and Earth benders. dragon of the west, top general, and pride of the fire nation, a world renowned legend.
what has JJ done? made a big wall of fire and shown his mad escaping skillz... and he used those escaping skills against the likes of zhao. im sorry, but Iroh could have taken out Zhao's henchmen and sent Zhao running in fear. how do i know this? because its happened.

Oh my goodness. Are You really suggesting that Jeong Jeong can't beat Zhao and his grunts? If so, I won't even continue this with you. we have no way of knowing, its not like weve seen him fight anyone. or demonstrated a high-level technique such as lightening. also, when Iroh took out everyone on Azula's ship, Zuko was not "right there with him--taking down soldiers with the same efficiency as Iroh himself" he went straight to azula to get his ass kicked... and then saved by Iroh... again, what show have you been watching? and you cant honestly count azula's sneak attack while Iroh was looking at toph as a lost battle. ... really, i list the all the high level techniques Iroh has, his prestige, his flawless fighting record, and you counter with "you think hes good because hes your favorite" honestly, i suggest you not "continue this" because you are likely the only person in the whole of Distant Horizon (at least) who believes that Zuko is more skilled then Iroh.

My money is on Hulk-Iroh, "Unca"-Iroh would just suggest drinking tea instead ~*Spirit Week Mod Day Fact!*~ Family is important to me, and mine is huge; I have 46 cousins . . . on one side of my family.

I don't feel like writing a long post, so this is all you're getting. Genocide Heaven: yet again, you seem to suggest to me that you watch a different show then the rest of us. What is that supposed to mean? Please tell me, because it sounds like an insult. If you want to throw out insults, that's fine with me. Just don't get mad when I do it back. See, that's exactly what I'm talking about. Iroh has done nothing to show that he is, by far, the most dominate Fire Bender alive. He took down a bunch of pathetic grunts, which isn't really impressive at all, considering their leader, Zhao, was a pushover himself. Even Zuko was able to beat him multiple times without mastering his basics. Furthermore, when Iroh took down Azula's mini-army, Zuko was right there with him--taking down soldiers with the same efficiency as Iroh himself. Also, If you're going to use that sneak attack as a victory in favor of Iroh, then you must acknowledge him losing to Azula in "The Chase" as well. Iroh beating the Rough Rino's is not that impressive at all, as Zuko was able to rip them apart, too! Fighting on par with Zuko, who I also think is better than Iroh, does not tell me that he's the strongest bender. We have never once seen Iroh fight against other masters, such as Azula, Aang or Katara. The only thing Iroh has ever done was take down low level grunts, who even Zuko was able to beat. That doesn't say much about Iroh's "amazing" ability at all. In fact, it only takes away from it. Again, alot of the stuff you're bringing up has been done by benders we know are not as good as Jeong Jeong, so why does this stuff make Iroh super powerful? Just because he's your favorite character doesn't mean he's going to be the best. We have other Fire Benders do far, far more than what Iroh has done. what has JJ done? made a big wall of fire and shown his mad escaping skillz... and he used those escaping skills against the likes of zhao. im sorry, but Iroh could have taken out Zhao's henchmen and sent Zhao running in fear. how do i know this? because its happened. Oh my goodness. Are You really suggesting that Jeong Jeong can't beat Zhao and his grunts? If so, I won't even continue this with you. Are you okay? Zenjamin gave multiple reasons as to why Iroh is the man and you shrug it off like it is nothing. You should learn to recognize a great bender when you see one and respect them. Don't turn down their accomplishments like they were nothing. As for Zhao being a pushover, what you say has many flaws. Did it ever occur to you that Zuko was able to defeat Zhao because he had the great dragon of the west tutoring him. Also, the Fire Nation is ultimatley winning this war (or at least they were before Aang came back) so explain to me how Zhao can become Admiral if he is a pushover.

^just a playin' devil's advocate: ranks aren't based on bending skill. they're based on tactiocal ablitlity, at least at his level.

Uncle Iroh, he has the ability to control his actions and his fire weilding. Jeong Jeong is afraid of his fire power and doesn't use it to its full potential. Based on raw power-Jeong Jeong, he's probably the strongest raw pwer bender besides Ozai. Based on strategy, and knowledge, Iroh, he is pretty old!

Really, it's not a discussion on who has the best moves, or more damaging moves, it's who has the better technique and style. I think that Iroh is more versatile than other firebenders, never quite staying in a predicable pattern. Jeong is more suble, able to passivly escape without harming anyone. In a battle, Jeong's defenses would be suberb, but someone very versitile could work through them. As such, there is no clear cut winner, but a guess as to which side would falter first.

Though I'd like to believe that they'd fight to a draw, we simply haven't seen enough of Jeong Jeong to properly evaluate his bending strength, fighting style, technique, stamina, or anything else really. Basically we know little to nothing about Jeong Jeong's true power.
Except that he makes great speeches, and that he has fully mastered the proper breathing technique. He is definitely the man on that.
Also don't nobody say that Jeong Jeong's retreat is a sign of his inferior fighting capacity. He took a vow of no violence remember? His running away was more of a self imposed moral obligation thing really.

^^To be fair, we also haven't seen the full extent of what Iroh can do. We've seen more of what Iroh can do than Jeong Jeong, but it's quite obvious in Iroh's case that he's been holding back most of his skill and power. People's opinions in either direction are drawn mostly upon inference, since we've seen neither character fight to their fullest. However, I strongly believe Iroh is the best because he's demonstrated greater knowledge of fire itself than any other firebender, and he's not afraid of his own power.

Iroh's special move: Teabending!
But remember, Master Jeong Jeong too was seen enjoying a nice cup of tea. Perhaps them two will fight over which kind of tea is the best?
Iroh - Ginseng tea is the best!
Jeong Jeong - You fool! Ginseng tea is for the weak!
Iroh - What? How could a fellow tea lover say such a thing! (throws tea at Jeong Jeong's face)
Jeong Jeong - You dare hurl your weak tea against me!?! I will destroy you!
Iroh/Jeong Jeong - IT'S TIME FOR AGNI KAI!!!
