Katara- in every badly animated episode- makes me wish she would die; she's so stupid and self righteous but no one (within the show) ever badmouths her- or if they do they suffer for it later. But I only feel this way towards her when the animation is bad, somehow the bad animation also means a bad episode.

I don't want any character to die. There isn't a single character in the show I don't like...it's just the canon ships I can't stand

Are you following me or something? Every time I mention something bad about Katara you are right there to say something. I DON"T LIKE KATARA. But I do like Toph. Accept that fact and don't bother me about my dislike for Katara. Thank you.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand where people get off saying "the animation is bad in this episode"? The animation is always the same style (except for when they do random anime-ebellishments, which I appreciate because I recognize them for what they are -- the creators having fun and giving tribute to their sources of inspiration) There are a few episodes that stand out in my mind for exceptional animation (Winter Solstice in season 1), but all of them have great animation! I have no idea where people's gripes are coming from...

Hm...Katara. Definitely Katara. Nothing personal on her, but as long as she's around, Aang's never going to grow up. I know he's only twelve, but honestly, she practically smothers him, and treats him like a son. The worst part is, Aang has no problem going along with it. As seen in "The Painted Lady", he didn't think twice about the repercussions of their actions, all Katara had to do was suggest they burn the factory, and he went right along with it. I think a part of Aang (a pretty large part, actually) enjoys being pampered like he is now, and is unwilling to grow up. As long as Katara's around to spoil him, he'll probably stay complacent in her arms, screw the world or not. Toph differs in that she's constantly pushing Aang to get a backbone. Like shown in "Bitter Work", if he falls, she makes him get back up again, instead of wallowing in failure and self-pity. She forces him to face things head on, as opposed to running away. So, yah, Katara definitely has to go. I agree. I doubt Aang will ever be able to let go of Katara. So she needs to go, so Aang can finaly become a true Avatar. She treats him as a son, which holds him back and also blinds him. I do love Katara, but she needs to go.

Scamming should be legal!" Gimme a break...

So, yah, Katara definitely has to go. I totally agree. I don't want anyone to die, but if I were to pick someone, it would be Katara. The thing that angers me about Katara is that she has no flaws. You might say I'm jealous and her flaws are that she has temper issues and too motherly and all, but don't we all get alittle angry sometimes? And, being motherly isn't a bad thing. There's nothing interesting about her. Toph is a brat sometimes. Sokka is stubborn. Aang is well, idk, but if he were to go, then there would be no show. Zuko is angsty and can't decide from right of wrong (at the moment). Azula has no other emotions than being evil. Mai, Tylee, ect. Katara's lackadaisical.

Okay, you have to decide whether you thinks Katara's temper and being too motherly is a flaw or not. 'Coz you can't seem to make up your mind.

Her having a temper, I think, is not a flaw. Her being motherly, I think, isn't a flaw. We all have a temper sometimes, and being motherly is not a bad thing.
Read my post properly.

I did read your post. Properly I may add. You say you're angry with her because she has no flaw then you go on by listing the flaws that you hate about her... Maybe it's the way you structured your words.
