Why dose everyone asume that Azula is crazy...as in mental. Because a crazy person wouldn't be in control of her mind and there for actions and yet I actually believe that Azula want to k-i-L-L zuko in the first scene. We do we say she crazy why because we still believe there good in her or that we don't want to believe she capable of doing the evil actions. To me Azula is like The Joker...She dosen't hesitate and in control...I think maybe were afriad of that and She a smart girl and I have no doubt in my mind she knew where the gang were at.
I think alot expections were high and very different and random for people's taste which is going to having problem like "bloodbending" was use on just a random person instead or the many emotion of one girl(mostly anger) and the vast issue that came to be and how they were resolve. I didn't have problem with Katara and understood why she still didn't trust in zuko...yes we the audience have seen Zuko change but just like Zuko's introduction the gang(minus toph) still saw him as season one guy. It takes time to show how good you are and aang saw it with the actions that happen in "W.A.T" each of the previous episodes were imporant to establish more of bond and did so well and by the end result, everyone was on zuko side expect one. Why cause she still didn't believe him and trust him when she thought she change in there last encounter in the cave...rememeber the quote "I thought you change" in CoD. Saying to her again you change...She didn't won't to be fooled again and why she still stood her guard aginst zuko. She still hold him responsible for this war and the actions that occur and after the actions in CoD it blind her to believe anything about Zuko.
Zuko wanted approval from Katara just in the same way like his father. So she help her by trying to get rid of the stigma and maybe in return she will get rid of stereotype of him and in the end after learning that forgiveness isn't easy and simple and all you can do let go. She now could see clearly now that the rain is gone (as well as Zuko) and saw zuko for what he is today.
You know this could be my favourte episode only because of people dissatisfaction of episode

I just saw the ep not too long ago online (I don't have cable *cries*). Twas alright...Katara prooved once again that she is queen beotch of the universe. Oh the melodrama! I just want to look her in the eye and yell "BAAAAWW!". She was acting like she was the only one who ever suffered. Also that comment to sokka was just plain cold. Hmph. On another note it reminded me greatly of a psychology professor of mine. He is rather renowned and wrote a book about forgiveness (it is one of his main focuses of study, and a very avid advocate for it, he has also set up various campaignes for it) when his mother or his wife (I can't remember which unfortunatley) was murdered. Aang gave some very real and very worthwhile advice in this episode, I applaud the writers, and it further prooves how great a show Avatar really is. The sokka/suki bit was halarious and one of the few saving graces of the eppie! He was a little casanova. I bet suki couldn't keep her hands off him. Also, as usual Azula was the sex...*sigh* Loopy, insane sex. ...I wonder... When Azula was falling and hypothetically she couldn't save herself...would zuko have saved her? Or let her fall? Hmmm.... It was hard to tell the emotion in his voice when he said "She isn't going to make it..." Like a cross between an observation and dawning realization, but did he care?

Super love is glomped onto this episode by me. Azula and Zuko's fight on the airship was made of total win.Zuko proved that the trip to the masters was not wasted. Oh, and Azula finally cracked. Being betrayed by her "friends" must have gone to her head. Sokka in the tent was HILARIOUS! I don't really want to know what Sokka and Suki were planning. Zuko's face as he walked was priceless. I tried to take a pic of it with my cell, but it looked like he had a square head. Aang's forgiveness speech to Katara proves he has definitely grown up quite a bit. Katara was such an a$$ in that conversation. And I'm considering changing my name to "Guru Goody-Goody". Sokka wanting to borrow Momo was funny too. I didn't like Yanra but I felt sympathy for the other general when Katara used bloodbending on him. Lil' Katara was so cute. What happened to Katara's mom was sad. An why did Hakoda call Katara "Kya"? Side Note: Why does Aang look like he's wearing eyeliner in the trailer for Ember Island Players???

I'm sure Suki knew that they had planned to meet, but do you think that she knew what extent Sokka had gone to for that evening?

Seriously..... if my signifigant other had that planned that, half of me would freak and the other would get psyched. Did Sokka's wanting to borrow Momo have anything to do with their.... "escapades"?

Well, after all the damage the glitch did to this thread last night, I'm glad to see this thread in one functioning, cohesive piece!
Yes, I agree the episode was rushed; but not quite to the effect of the Awakening, like many seem to be liking it to. No, I think that it did a good job with it's pacing, however, I do agree that the flashback could have been longer and the Zuko/Katara forgiveness scene could have started with a prep talk or something . . .
